UPDATED: Four-star point guard Eron Gordon's visit to Michigan set for June 27

Michigan head coach John Beilein and assistant Jeff Meyer watch from the sidelines during the first half of a loss to Arizona at Crisler Center on Dec. 14, 2013.

UPDATE: Eric Gordon Sr. has adjusted the date of his son's visit to Michigan, telling SNY.tv's Adam Zagoria that he will come to Ann Arbor on June 27, not June 29, as previously reported. This story has been adjusted to reflect the change.

ANN ARBOR -- The competition is stiff, but Michigan is still in the game.

Coming off a visit to Louisville in early June and set to swing by Duke next Monday, top-50 point guard Eron Gordon has set a June 27 visit date with Michigan.

Eric Gordon Sr., Eron's father, laid out his son's schedule for SNY.tv this week. According to the report, Gordon will also visit Kansas, Kentucky, Butler and Indiana. Prior to the trip to Louisville, he had only taken an unofficial visit to Purdue.

A four-star 2016 prospect, Gordon is the younger brother of former Indiana players Eric and Evan Gordon. The Indianapolis native has attended numerous games at Assembly Hall over the years watching his brothers.

Eric Gordon is currently a member of the Charlotte Hornets, while Evan, who transferred to Indiana after beginning his career at Liberty and Arizona State, wrapped up his college career in 2013-14.

Michigan has pursued Eron Gordon since early in his high school career at North Central High School. U-M assistant Jeff Meyer has long ties to the family, starting with him coaching Eric Gordon Sr. at Liberty in the early 1980s. Meyer also recruited Eric Gordon Jr. while he was an assistant on Kelvin Sampson's staff at Indiana.

Eron Gordon previously took an unofficial visit to Michigan in September of 2013. He doesn't hold a scholarship offer from U-M coach John Beilein or some of the other schools he's visiting, but, according to SNY.tv, "Eric Sr. said he’s under the impression that all the schools involved would take Eron if he wanted to play for them."

Michigan has extended 2016 scholarship offers to five-star point guards Derryck Thornton Jr. (Chatsworth, Calif.) and Cassius Winston (Detroit), and four-star point guard
Quentin Goodin (Campbellsville, Ky.).

“We haven’t talked about offers,” Eric Sr. told SNY.tv about the schools yet to extend scholarships. “What I gather is if he said ‘I want to come to school here,’ he would have that opportunity but we haven’t talked about any offers. I’m just basically wanting him to get on campus and see schools. We’re not anywhere near making any kind of decision. ... We just want to make sure that we have options open so that when the time comes, he’s ready to go.”

The 6-foot-2 Gordon averaged 14.7 points and 2.6 assists in his sophomore season at North Central (Ind.) High School. He is ranked No. 38 in the 247Sports Composite class of 2016 ranking
