West Linn's Payton Pritchard lands a scholarship offer from Final Four-bound Wisconsin

This week keeps getting better for West Linn's Payton Pritchard.

Just hours after the Lions sophomore was named Oregon’s Class 6A player of the year in boys basketball, Pritchard received a scholarship offer Wednesday from Wisconsin. It is thought to be Pritchard’s second scholarship offer, as earlier this year Oregon State made an offer.

Wisconsin is one of four teams still alive in men’s basketball, as the Badgers play Kentucky in a Final Four semifinal Saturday. According to 247Sports.com, Pritchard made an unofficial visit to Wisconsin in January.

The 6-foot Pritchard is coming off a season where he averaged 18 points and 7.5 assists a game in leading the Lions to the 6A state title.

West Linn coach Eric Viuhkola recently said many prominent teams are beginning to show significant interest in Pritchard, including Oregon, Villanova and Ohio State
