BETHESDA, Md. -- Tyler Ennis scored 19 points and Isaiah Briscoe contributed half of his 14 points in the final 2:59 to lead St. Benedict's to a 60-57 victory over Findlay Prep of Las Vegas, ranked No. 1 in the nation by ESPN, in the semifinal round of the National High School Invitational yesterday at Georgetown Prep.

St. Benedict's (30-1) brought Findlay's 54-game winning streak to an end, shaking off a late rally with several key plays by Briscoe, whose steal and layup gave St. Benedict's a 58-57 lead before Mike Young (10 points) sank both ends of a one-and-one for the 60-57 lead. Nigel Williams-Goss, who led Findlay with 20 points, missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

"Everyone contributed. Everyone filled a role," St. Benedict's coach Mark Taylor said. "When Findlay made a run and went up four on us in the fourth quarter, we called timeout and said, 'We got this. They made their run.' And then we really went off the last three minutes. This is really a special group."

St. Benedict's, which lost to Findlay in the semifinals last season, will face Montverde Academy of Florida for the championship today at 1 p.m. in a game that will be televised on ESPN. Montverde is coached by Kevin Boyle, who guided New Jersey power St. Patrick of Elizabeth until 2011.
