Since the release of a
YouTube video
earlier this spring,
Tacko Fall
, a 7-foot-5 junior basketball player at
Liberty Christian Prep (Tavares, Fla.)
, has become a hot story for national media.
Fall
appeared with Brian Kilmeade on Fox & Friends
last week and was also featured by Vicente Arenas for CBS This Morning in the video piece above. Even TMZ Sports took a turn,
capturing him touring New York City last Thursday
.

We got our own first-hand look at the native of Senegal at the Elite Youth Basketball League session in Sacramento, California (see video below). He's raw, but keep in mind he's playing for E1T1, one of the top Nike-sponsored teams in the country in arguably the most competitive spring/summer league.
During the 2013-14 season at Liberty Christian, Fall averaged 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocked shots per game. He put up a season-high 26 points to go along with seven boards against Life Christian Academy (Kissimmee) in late January.
The toughest part of Fall's transition to the United States? Being away from family.
"(It) doesn't feel good," Fall told Arenas. "Sometimes I think about them and start crying. I still talk to them every day. I wish one day I can bring them over."
Senegal also produced the last viral "tallest high school basketball player in the world" sensation in 7-5
Mamadou Ndiaye
, who played for
Brethren Christian (Huntington Beach, Calif.)
and recently completed a successful freshman campaign at Division I UC Irvine.
