No. 1 PG Trevon Duval's poster highlights this week's awards

Chef of the Week

In sports the term “cookin” is reserved for a player who goes on a scoring spree or gets hot during a game and makes big plays on the offensive end.

This week’s “Chef of the Week” award winner is Pebblebrook (Mableton, Ga.) point guard Collin Sexton for his dominant showing during the second session of the Nike EYBL last week.

Sexton obliterated the competition all weekend, even dropping 36 points on highly-rated point guard Tyger Campbell in one game.

Through the first two EYBL sessions, Sexton is leading the league in scoring at 30.1 points per game.

True chef behavior indeed.

Poster of the Week

This week’s Poster of the Week winner is Advanced Prep International (Dallas) point guard Trevon Duval for the oh-so-vicious poster he created during the second session of the Under Armour Association last week.

Duval, who runs with WE-R1, took the high screen from his teammate, split another defender, took a dribble and rose over and through another defender who should’ve just let him have the highlight.

Perhaps even better than the poster was the pandemonium that ensued after Duval dropped the hammer.

Check it out below.

Oh No They Didn’t!

This award is reserved for the player who turned in a mind-boggling performance or play that left the crowd in a state of shock and amazement.

This week’s “Oh No They Didn’t” winner is No. 1 overall high school hooper Harry Giles III for finishing the season ranked No. 1 overall in the ESPN 100 despite sitting out, basically, the entire season with a torn ACL.

Giles, who started the season with national champion Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), suffered the injury in the season opener and afterward transferred back home to take online courses in North Carolina.

The fact that Giles, a Duke signee, never relinquished his No. 1 status despite sure-fire pros like Josh Jackson and Jayson Tatum turning in big senior seasons should tell you all you need to know about how great Giles is.

Holding down No. 1 without breaking a sweat? Oh yes he did.

Here’s a little reminder of what Giles does when he’s healthy.
