PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Heading into the season, one of the most talked about players in the area was Holy Name freshman Dwayne Cohill.

As a freshman, he entered the season as a player considered to be one of the best freshman in the state.

While it has been an adjustment, Cohill said he is really getting comfortable with being a player at Holy Name.

Q: You entered the season with big expectations, how has it been adjusting to the high school varsity level?

A: It was definitely an adjustment early in the season, but I am starting to figure it out and learn the game of basketball. My teammates have been great, and we are continuing to work hard and get better, and it is something that I am really enjoying right now.

Q: Who played the biggest influence of you getting involved with basketball?

A: It is definitely my mom and my sister. They got me playing at a very young age, and once I started playing, I instantly fell in love with it.

Q: While it is still early in your career, what is your greatest basketball moment?

A: It definitely has to be getting on the national stage. To be able to hear people talk about what they think of you, it is great to hear and just another source of motivation. For everybody who has said I can be a very good player, I want to go out and prove them right. It is one thing to get that hype, now, I have to go out and earn it.

Q: What is your biggest goal in your high school basketball career?

A: The first and most important goal is to definitely win a state title. To be able to accomplish that with my teammates would be truly something special. I also do want to be Ohio Mr. Basketball, and both of these goals are my motivation every day.

Q: When you are not playing basketball, what are you doing?

A: My favorite tv show is currently Criminal Minds. It is a fun way to get away from the basketball court for a little bit. However, I definitely enjoy watching ESPN too, as well as hanging out with my family, especially my little brother.

Q: Who are some NBA players that you like to watch?

A: Some of my favorite players are Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. With Durant, I just love watching how easy he can score the ball, and I try and pick up some of his offensive moves. He just loves playing the game, and it just makes his teammates play that much harder, and that is what I want to do.
