Top 100 Big Board Updated

With March upon us and the NCAA tournament just weeks away it’s time to update the Big Board.

Making
the biggest leap is sophomore forward Craig Brackins who climbs 52 spots from
61 to 9 on our latest big board.

Brackins fits the "late bloomer" description to a T. He has shown vast improvement having picked
up the game late: he started playing organized ball halfway through high school.

He has quickly become one of the most dominant big men in the country, ala Dirk Nowitzki, with the ability
to create shots for himself and consistently knock down the 15-18 foot jump shot.

Also making a big jump were freshmen Willie Warren and Tyreke Evans. Evans’ Tigers
have been on a roll winning 19 straight and moving up to the 4th rated team in
the country.

While some of that success is obviously due to playing in a terrible
conference, Evans playmaking ability from the point guard position has become
steadier and he’s become a more efficient scorer.

Warren is his top competition
for national freshman of the year and his explosiveness and scoring ability has
him hovering around the 20 position on the big board.

Other risers include: DeJuan Blair, Evan Turner, Ed Davis, Terrence Williams, Trevor Booker, Jerel McNeal, Vladimir Dasic, Jermaine Taylor, Jan Vesely, Jodie Meeks, Emir Preldzic and Danny Green.

Falling out of the top 100 were: Nemanja Gordic, Vyacheslav Kravtsov, Jeremy
Pargo, Austin Freeman, Raymar Morgan, Chris Singleton, Vitor Faverani, Nolan
Smith, Malcolm Lee, LaceDarius Dunn, Manny Harris, Grievis Vasquez, Nando De
Colo, and Howard Thompkins.

It’s important to note that the top 100 rankings are based on players entering this year’s draft. Some players would rank higher or lower if leaving in
a later draft were taken into consideration.
