Would you rather have your favorite team be a continual lottery team and try to stockpile, or have your team be continually in the playoffs with no chance of winning the title? I have suffered through continual unwatchable backetball from the Timberwolves, but I would prefer that to something like how the Atlanta Hawks have been. The Joe Johnson deal was a massive commitment to being not good enough. I’m sure it was fun to know your team would be watchable. I would put the current Denver Nuggets in this category, although they are a lot more fun to watch.
