anthonymatthew24ParticipantIm tuning on Espn and all the panelists are hating on the move for the lakers saying they got older and worst on defense. This may be true , but lets look at the bright side. Nash makes his teamates better, I believe Gasol will look alot better playing along side Nash, also Kobe will not have to handle the ball so much and this can create more open jumpers for him and maybe post ups. Look at the PG’s the Lakers have had in the past couple years: Fisher , and Sessions, neither a good defensive player neither a good passer. Now with Nash buying in to Mike Brown’s grind it out defense plus his effectiveness on the pick and roll will only help the Lakers. Also cant forget the fact that when the Lakers post up witch they do about 60% of the time they can kick it out to one of the best shooters ever. To end my argument I want to add that the Lakers are in win mode RIGHT NOW! Kobe aint getting younger. What do you guys think about the move please tell me!

scbe2223ParticipantIt’s a good move simply because they got him for virtually nothing. Late round firsts and seconds aren’t all that useful the majority of the time. I dislike the move because as a sports fan, I would rather see Nash in Toronto. From a purely basketball standpoint though, the Lakers got substantially better. The offense should be much less stagnant next year.

anthonymatthew24ParticipantThe lakers were one of the worst three point shooting teams , one of the worst offensive teams, I think Nash can easily adress that.

koyozoyoosaParticipantInstead, injuries and a lack of postseason success have defined McGrady’s career, and now at 33 years old he seems to have aged at a faster pace than his peers. Even as we talk about how Steve Nash, Jason Kidd and Grant Hill still have plenty left in the tank despite pushing 40, McGrady looks more like a former NBA player.243412sdasd

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantAllen, of course, now plays for the Heat. And he has switched to his old No. 34.

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantAs for guy on the court wearing Allen on the back, nobody was booing him. Playing for the first time in front of Miami fans since bolting the Celtics to the Heat last July as a free agent, the shooting guard looked good.h233223

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipant“He doesn’t even look fatigued,” said Miami coach Erik Spoelstra. “I mentioned to one of the coaches (doing scrimmage substitutions), ‘Make sure you sub for Ray so he’s not going the whole four quarters, playing the entire game.’ (The coach) said, ‘Does he even look tired?’ I said, ‘No, but we got to get him out to at least rest his legs.'”j4545

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantAmong the other top marksman, Shane Battier shot 4-of-7 and Mike Miller 3-of-8. Even center Chris Bosh was 2-of-3 en route to a scrimmage-high 19 points.jhu35433

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipant“I think so,” Bosh said when asked if a contest between three-point shooters on the Heat would be as exciting as the one they hold during All-Star Weekend. “I think we have some of the best three-point shooters in the world.”h34432fafa

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantMiami also has James Jones, who once won the contest during All-Star Weekend, and Rashard Lewis, once a potent big-man threat from the perimeter. But Jones was 0-of-3 Wednesday on long shots and Lewis was 0-of-5.j345343

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantRegardless of whether Lewis, who shot 23.9 percent from three-point range last season to drop his career percentage to 38.8, can regain his former stroke, the Heat have plenty of three-point possibilities. James talked about how they might play at times with one big man inside and four guys outside.hu343434

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipant“I would like to play my whole career here. That’s a given,” Gibson told HOOPSWORLD at the start of training camp. “This is a great city, great organization, great people, and it would be a dream come true (to stay).”rdt443

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipant“Of course it’s on your mind, but at the same time you really can’t do much about it,” Gibson said. “You know you should have the agent take care of that, let the front office take care of that, so all you really have to focus on is playing basketball. That’s what you can control.”y45545343

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantIf or when Chicago uses its amnesty provision on Boozer, Gibson would be an ideal candidate to start for the Bulls, and for quite a bit less money than Boozer is currently making.dddddddd

Posted on: Thu, 10/04/2012 - 12:20pm #718137
RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantTo do that, though, he’ll have to continue to get better, and recently-extended Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau spent plenty of time this offseason making sure that happened.sf3232

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipant“As soon as the season was over, [Thibodeau] just had me in here with him, and we just worked out almost every day, just trying to get ready for the USA,” Gibson said of his preparation for the 2012 USA Men’s Select Team. “I wanted to make a good impression for the USA camp, and he came down and watched every practice. I did a good job, got good feedback, and I feel positive about it.nfjhg

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantIt would be even greater to get his extension taken care of, but that’s something he’s going to have to wait at least a little bit longer for. Gibson is unquestionably an important part of this team’s future, and the Bulls are hoping they can hold onto him for a reasonable amount of money.

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantSo while Gibson looks to improve and play a bigger role as Chicago’s unquestioned sixth man this year, he’ll do so either as an imminent restricted free agent or as a re-upped veteran who will have the benefit of knowing his future with the organization.23432232

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantBoth sides would rather the latter, which is why they will work hard to get something done in the coming weeks. Doing so is in the best interest for both Gibson and the Bulls.jdfhd

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantI certainly won’t attempt to speak for everyone battling the disease, but I will freely admit that one reason I rarely share my experiences with others is due to a certain level of shame/embarrassment that accompanies openly admitting that I occasionally become exceedingly anxious at the mere thought of seemingly mundane tasks that wouldn’t phase my wife or my five-year-old niece.hdfgsfgs

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantUnsurprisingly, many doctors who have studied anxiety estimate that the number of undiagnosed anxiety sufferers are significant, especially among males. Studies show that some of these undiagnosed individuals often turn to alcohol or other drugs in order to self-medicate and dull the symptoms. Sadly, today’s society often promotes a form of masculinity where “being afraid” is tantamount to being “weak,” or worse, in the opinion of some.sdgf3432

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantFor those not familiar with his background, White suffers from severe anxiety disorder. White, to his credit, has been extremely forthcoming about his illness (he even allowed a fascinating inside look into the gift and the curse that was the day he got drafted in to the NBA), which has obviously impacted all facets of his life, including traveling to and from games by plane while at Iowa State. afhfd

RockGAGAEWAWWParticipantRockets General Manager Daryl Morey, the man who made the final decision to draft White, was fully aware of the unique issues and potential problems the Rockets would face when they selected White with the 16th overall pick in June. Houston was getting one of the most talented and versatile young players on the planet (Royce, as a freshman, led his college team in points, assists, rebounds, blocks and steals), but they were also getting a young man that would have to deal with a unique set of challenges throughout is career.fdgsd

Kobe has the reputation of being one of the most competitive, driven and cold-blooded players in the league. That type of attitude has helped Kobe become of the best to ever play the game.
