You’ve got to be kidding me. Goran Suton knocks down shots from anywhere, shoots 86% from the line, rebounds and plays defense. Even if you don’t love him he is a late 1st or early 2nd round pick. Come on now lets wake up.

Suton has the potential to be a really good role player. He has greatly improved this year despite a knee injury. He reminds me of Mehmut Okur. Both guys can knock down the outside jumper or bang down low. If I were drafting late in the first round and needed frontcourt depth, I would take him.

Becuase he isn’t that good. I’ll give him credit, he has a nice shooting touch and OK footwork around the rim, but that’s it.

His main problem is that ins’t physical. He’s a very soft player. And, many people outside the state of Michigan just heard of his last week.

Because he isn’t that good?????? He shot 43% from 3. 86% from the line. SOFT???????????????? Where in the world do you get that? He got 8.2 rebounds in the Big Ten as a jr. and 8.4 as a senior. MORE THAN HELD HIS OWN against Aldrich, Clark, Thabeet and Tyler in the Tournament. If you weren’t aware of him that’s on you. It’s not like Michigan State isn’t one of the top ten programs in the country. staging.nbadraft.net has really missed the boat on this guy.

He’s closer to 6’8″ than he is 6’10”. He also won’t be able to guard 4’s at the NBA level. Great college player, possible 2nd rounder, but will spend most of his career overseas.

And Suton is legit 6’10 because Roe is a legit 6 8′ and suton stands over him.

Suton isn’t godo enough for the first round….Most people are just hearing about him now… But i been a state fan since i was born i know this kids track record….If you are a state fan u know of the blown lay up he missed that ruined his career….plus he is so weak he couldn’t even bang with Thabeet or any other big ten guy.

I see him late second round at best.

i watched every state game(Every game for the past 6 years)….i know how he rebounds and he never grabbed one over someone and barely ever fought for one, they were almost gimmes.

Suton could be a Brian Cook type, maybe a Bonner at best. I’m saying worthy of a second round pick.

My guess is that he is around 6’10, he looked noticably bigger than Roe and Hansbrough. The problem is that he cant guard the 4 at the next level, he doesnt have the speed, strength, or athleticism if you ask me. A chris bosh or Dirk or Pau, he would be helpless of the dribble. He is an undersized, soft center, who had a good tournament. He also had the benefit of the perfect system for him, and getting hot in the tournament from long range. He might be a second rounder, but I don’t see him bieng anything other than a fringe journeyman fighting to make rosters his whole career, unless he goes to Europe which will be fine for him. Im not bashing, his story is great and I like his game, but he just isnt nba material physically, his risks outwiegh his benefits.

This man is a FIFTH YEAR senior. If there was huge potential to begin with (which I highly doubt), we would have seen it by now. However, I think some idiot GM will take a flier on this dude and pick him up in the 35-50 range.

NO BIG IN THE COUNTRY SHOOTS THE BALL AS WELL AS GORAN SUTON.

GORAN SUTON WAS ONE OF THE BIG TENS BEST REBOUNDERS IN THE BIG TEN THE PAST TWO YEARS.

    YOU GUYS HAVE NO CLUE.

I dont think Goran Sutons ability will TRANSLATE to the NBA game he is too slow and isnt athletic enough. And I dont think 0.5 bpg will pass for a 6’10 players who is suppose to be a defensive presence. Plus he doesnt seem to rebound outside of his position he seems to be a very limited rebounder (he doesnt rebound outside his position). His overall body of work doesnt cut it. He seems like me might me a productive European player (especially since he “shoots” so well from the outside)

Not athletic enough to play NBA 4, and his production over his MSU career was modest to be considered a real NBA prospect. He’ll get a shot either as a late 2nd rounder or FA, and can stick if the team appreciates him as a Matt Bonner-type player.
