grwgoden08ParticipantI like this site A LOT, but this sites player rating system is SOOOO OFFF….
first off, potential…if a players athleticism is top notch is almost always seems like they get 10/10 for potential…does that mean Demar DeRozan is going to be the next LeBron James?
Brandon Roy for example…he had a potentia rating out of 6/10 yet he is already the 3rd best SG at such a young age…
Does anyone agree with me?

LarryDaTruBirdmanParticipantI agree. Derozan may play similar to #23 (or D-Wade) but the potential ratings are dumb

grwgoden08ParticipantGreg Monroe has more potential than anybody in his draft class, but he only gets 8/10 potential rating? I’m not saying he’s going to be a star, but come on…if he gets 8/10 other freshmen should be lower.

deuce4offThis kid is all potential, don’t see why his isn’t 10/10. His ppg and rpg have increased each year and he is just now harnessing some of his immense talent. I believe this is only his 5th year of organized bball. A must 10 potential.

los507ParticipantI will agree that Thabeet is getting better each year, but I don’t know about a 10/10 score. He has impressed a lot of people with the fact that he’s is not just a stiff. He has a lot of upside, but I can’t say that he will be dominate in the league. I can see him having a long career similar to Mutombo, and hey thats not bad at all. He will probably be as good a defender as Oden or close(don’t know what to think of Oden yet) he just might not ever be a beast on the offensive end and thats OK. As long as he sticks to the things that he knows how to do well and work on his weaknesses in the off season he’ll be a good addition to any franchise in the league. But the ratings on this site could be a lot better I fell everybody in this forum can agree on that.

Evan_MilbergParticipantSeriously, am I supposed to believe that Darren Collison is the 8th best PG and Ty Lawson is the 10th best PG prospect in the nation? Laughable at best! Also, Ahmad Nivins, despite averaging 20 and 11, isn’t even ranked in the top 10 for PFs. BJ Mullens and DeMar DeRozan, despite having awful freshman years, are ranked way too high for their respective positions as well. This site is starting to lose a little bit of its credibility with me.
