Sonder23ParticipantCleveland is the clear favorite to take the 1st seed in the East. There doesn’t seem to be any team that should really challenge them for that if they are injury free and play to their full potential. Who do you have taking the East? I have Milwaukee. I think they were just a big away from being a dangerous team and now they have that in Greg Monroe. I think Mayo’s gonna have a career year as well.

nill650ParticipantI love what the bucks org has been doing and they will be even better than last season…I love what Orlando is doing even more but they are farther away. Bucks are too young and are not a legit contender yet…in 3-4 years they might be the favorites in the east, and they do have the pieces to possibly challenge for a trip to ec semis but not likely to get to the ecf. I have cavs, bulls and miami in top 3 spots with bucks or washington at 4 other at 5 and then after that its up for grabs between charlotte, atl, indy, raptors and the celtics for the last 2 spots. My sleeper team to fight for a playoff spot esp if other teams struggle with injuries etc is Orlando.
Yes Cleveland is the favorite for a number of reasons, and i really don’t see any team in the east winning very many more games if at all in the regular season than the Cavs let alone getting past the Cavs in the playoffs to the finals. If the Cavs are healthy,(Irving/Love) I think they are a little bit better than the spurs, the clippers ,houston and yes better when healthy than gsw. The only team the Cavs might have only an equal chance of winning the finals against in my estimation, would be westbrook, durrant etc in OKC if they are healthy too
