 The Phoenix having the six pick and pretty desperately needing a quality point guard, who would you prefer amongst these. Lonzo ball in a trade, Coby White, or Darius Garland?

 I think Ball will be the best out of those 3, but I don’t know if NO is looking to flip him.  Out of White and Garland I think Garland fits their team better, but I also think he will be gone and they will end up with White.

I’m not sold on Garland or White, they could both be good or both be underwhelming. I think Ball has the most upside of all of them. The best move for suns will be to take best player available regardless of position and then sign a veteran pg in free agency. I’m hoping that Culver falls to suns at 6.

Lonzo was the best option but I think the Pels keep him. Now I’d say its probably D-Lo Brown. Draft wise Garland is a better fit imo but only time will tell. Its gard to git gud in Phoenix.

 Turn Booker into James Harden. Put strong defenders at 2, 3 and 4 that can switch and  let DBook and Ayton take all the shots. Josh Jackson fits the brief. Select DeAndre Hunter and then you just need one more. 

I’d look at Pat Beverley, who obviously isn’t DLo, but he’s brings something different – hard core D – for a lot less money than what DLo will command.

Bridges and Warren can go on the bench to provide scoring or on the block to bring back in better fitting pieces.

Honestly, with the defensive deficiencies that team has, what they really need is a Marcus Smart or Patrick Beverly-type of player at PG. Out of Ball/White/Garland, I think White probably has the best two-way potential and would be the best fit alongside Booker.

 I think you can still bring in a guy like Beverley/Smart if you bring in D-Lo or Ball. Booker can slide over to SF for certain rotations and Beverly/Smart can come off the bench. Rondo would also be a good option.

 The Suns need  veteran P.G not a rookie P.G as tanking/lottery time should be over for this team now…

If I was the Suns I would talk to 3 or 4 teams..

Pelicans for Ball(though I doubt they give him up) Ball would be an amazing fit for this team.

Nets for Dangello Russell he is a RFA so maybe a sign and trade works for the 6th pick…As you never know if they will keep him or not as this is dependent on Kyrie…This gives you one of the better shooting back courts and both can play on or off the ball, the only catch is they are both average at defense..

Grizzlies for Conley the suns give them the 6th pick and an average asf deal to make numbers work..Conley is that steady  PG that could maybe help teach Booker some good habits and stabilze this team..

Rockets for CP3… Wild card here, Rockets want off Cp3 or Capellas deal so I could see them maybe taking 6th pick and an average but cheaper deal for CP3 so they can try get someone new in…Why this may happen CP3 and Monty have a past relationship and CP3 may teach Booker how to win/be more professional.

As a Phoenix fan I’d like Garland out of the draft. He may be off the board by 6 so if not him then White. Ideally a veteran PG would be the best fit but I’d be reluctant giving up 6th pick or taking on a big salary to achieve this. An Andre Miller type PG would be ideal as a pass first experienced guy, of the FAs, I’d personally make a run at Ricky Rubio. He is still only 27/28 years old but has a load of experience and wouldn’t be the most expensive PG out there but could do a solid job.

To me this comes down to how you like Garland/Whites potential vs Lonzos defensive and passing upside weighed against the similar spacing problem he would cause that Philly when paired with Ayton. The Suns have good potential with a 3 point shooting wings and signing a stretch four would help adding Lonzo a bit but I’m skeptical how this will work even though they could really use some more perimeter D. I like white better for the Suns considering I think he has more perimeter defensive upside given his size and length and yet still has the ability to score. Garland can play off and on ball but he strikes me as someone who will never be a plus defender so I’d pass even though I think hes more NBA ready than White.

 Maybe the Suns should trade down.  They need point guard play but they also need depth.   

Even if they end up with 14/20/22/51 and cash from Boston.  Nic Claxton would be good with Ayton inside. Ty Jerome and Jalen Lecque would give the Suns some play making and decent size with Jalen being a freak athlete and Ty being a good shooter.

We played 4 rookies last year….19 wins.

No PG no PF, it’s even worse now since we have FA.

An awful team since 2010, a 19 wins team has the grand total of 1 bigmen under contract and not a true certified nba back up PG… LOL.

Adding multiple kids is definitly not the answer to this mess, toxic environment, it’s not good for the team nor the kids development.

It’s tough, the draft is bad, with 19 wins you end with the 6th pick(1st time ever i guess).

You don’t want to sign fake vets(broken vets) who are here for the contract, the money, more than anything else(no more Chandler, Ariza please), and you can’t trade your former draft picks either since you don’t developed them properly…

For both Phoenix & Chicago I like the idea of grabbing a PG in the upcoming draft, I like White for Phoenix (offensively not as high a ceiling as Garland, but better defensively which they need) & Garland for Chicago.

 

I think what both teams should be doing at this point is looking at the market for a veteran PG they can grab for 2yrs while they develop their young guy. 

 

Phoenix – I like Cory Joseph & Ricky Rubio as options here. Rubio is obviously the better player, but where both are similar is their defensive capabilities. If Phoenix wants to use Booker as a primary playmaker still then CoJo is the one, if they want to lighten his workload in terms of creating for other then go with Rubio.

Chicago – I like Patrick Beverley & Darren Collison as options here.

NY are looking to move him.  Good defensively not a great scorer but that would be made up for with Booker, TJ warren and Ayton.

NY are looking for a late first rounder for him.  I know Phoenix have the 32nd overal pick..
