and I’m curious on jalen lecque for a developmental guy.  So in this scenario obviously I’d be trading down maybe see if the Celtics,Brooklynn, spurs covet somebody .

 As a Phoenix fan I’m hoping it will be either Garland or White at 6 to fill our PG need. Garland as the more pure pass first PG would likely be the better option but White is also a good creator so I would be too worried if we ended up with him. 

At 32 I’d go for Moses Brown as the old adage goes you cannot teach size and he gives you a potential further defensive option to use when required plus seems to run the floor pretty well for his size.

With the 59th pick Im just hoping one of the talented Canadian kids fall to the Raptors. Theres so many that its quite possible.

The mock draft currently has Toronto passing up Simi Shittu for Darius Bazley. Bazley would be a great pick. Imagie how good he could become in a few years learning from guys like Leonard, Siakam, Ibaka and Gasol.

The other guys I like are Jaxson Hayes and Reddish, though I don’t think they’ll be around at Eleven.

Lakers fan and I’m not sure. Hunter makes most sense and we could use the defense but he just seems like role player. Not sure I want the next al farouq aminu at #4.

I don’t know enough about garland but he seems the most promising and we need shooting big time.

Culver is the only other guy I’d consider and I do really like his game even though he didn’t exactly excel in the ncaa tourney.

I don’t know enough about these guys right now but I’d lean garland.

#3: RJ Barrett or Ja Morant-

There are a lot of detractors on RJ, but I still think he will be a straight bucket getter in the NBA, and an above average playmaker. Also have heard rumors of Memphis taking a look at RJ at 2, so if Morant falls to 3 it’s a no brainer, although I think RJ may be a better fit if we are looking to get KD, and Kyrie/Kemba. Any other player selected here without a good trade down would be a massive dissapointment for me. 

#55: Shamorie Ponds or Jontay Porter-

I’m also a St. John’s fan so having Brooklyn’s own Shamorie Ponds on the Knicks would be awesome. I think he will be a nice bench scorer in the NBA, and he his passing ability is often overlooked. Porter is just a lottery ticket. After 2 ACL tears he may never be the same, but late in the 2nd round it’s defintely worth the risk. If he somehow fully recovers he’s a first round talent.

 I like Porter alot if he falls to the Knicks in the 2nd round. Nowadays with the new techniques  in surgeries and rehab you can recover 100% from ACL injuries and specially at a young age ! Overall good choice !

Really hoping Portland packages its first rounder with Evan Turner to get some cap relief. That way we can address our 3/4 situation with more tenacity.

Also hoping that we acquire the rights to one or two of KZ Okpala/Louis King/Jaylen Hoard/Chuma Okeke from teams that has too many second round picks (Philly, ATL, BK) and wants to move some of them.

18th Pick – Keldon Johnson (Kentucky)

I wouldn’t hate seeing us move down with a team like Philadelphia for 24th & 33rd picks if the right guys are going to be there. Picking 18th though I feel we could use some more athletic players on the wing & at forward spots. Johnson is a strong player & if he brings some consistency to his 3pt shot can be a very good long-term starter.

50th pick – Jaylen Hoard (Wake Forest)

Kind of go young in 2nd round & see what’s there. Hoard could turn into a solid 4-man, but is still very raw.

 Keldon Johnson’s draft stock is all over the place. I’ve seen him mocked in the lottery and as low as mid 20’s. I like him and hope he goes to Detroit at 15. What’s the knock on him? Why is he all over the place?

The only real issue I’ve seen is his inconsistent shooting from 3pt line, which is obviously a large issue given the way the game is played now. If he fails to correct this then he may simply end up being another Stanley Johnson.

If I had it my way, they’d find a way to trade up for DeAndre Hunter. Assuming they stay at #9, I really like Rui Haichimura as someone they can groom to replace Ariza or Green on the rotation.

 I’m Still Celebrating the Grizzlies getting the 2nd pick and the possibility of adding Morant. Maybe they can acquire a late 1st or 2nd round pick and select Naz Reid,Kevin Porter,Dylan Windler or Ignas B the kid from Michigan. Lakers might trade their pick. But if they keep it, I hope they be bold Enuff to select Bol Bol . He’s 1 of the few guys that could become a star. I’m ok if they pick Coby White. They can use some shooters.

What we can get at that is sort of a lucky dip…Some drafts you can get lucky around there some they are out of the league after less than 2 seasons…See Cam payne lol

So Ideally we would go after a combo Wing PF/SF that could spell P.G for at least 10-15 mins a game a player similar to Jermi grant or Khris Middleton mould wouldn’t be horrible.. So Height wise 6’6-6’9 meaning that they can play pf-sg spot maybe handle the ball sometimes..It would be an added bonus if they could space the floor for Steven A too..

So if anything in this mould was available and the player had reasonable b’ball I.Q would be nice..But honestly wouldn’t mind if we packaged pick with averaged deal to get better player..

 First off this draft even as its only two weeks away is crazy unpredictable. There’s also a ton of different Combos that would make me very happy. That being said, if I had to pick right now.

Washington gives you a second floor spacing big, a guy who’s perfect next to Robert Williams. Clarke is just value if he’s there, an athlete like him, that plays D like him. I have to take him. Also like the fact that both players aren’t crazy raw and have higher floors.

Going fairly safe with the first two picks I gamble on Dort’s upside. He’s a bigger way more athletic Marcus Smart mixed with Terry Rozier type guy, the good and the bad. He’s going to need developmental time, but we need a guy that can create and he just fits on a team that really values D. Was a very hard choice over Johnson who I think is a safer pick, but I was determined to draft one high upside guy, even if he was risky. Nowell is another guy that can create and most importantly shoot the ball. I’d love more of a true PG, but there really isn’t one available.
