Larry Bird and Magic were drafted in the 70’s which weakens your 80’s draft team, otherwise I would go with them as we basically got to see that team play together and it was an amazing team to watch (1992 Dream Team).

I wouldn’t pick the 00’s because they just don’t have anyway of stopping the 80’s or 90’s big men. Sorry but Gasol, Howard and Yao are going to struggle a lot against the 80’s big men of Ewing,Robinson, and Hakeem or the 90’s nightmare matchup of Duncan and Shaq.

I think I’ll go with the 90’s overall, but that’s only because Magic and Bird can’t be on the 80’s team.

That 90’s team would be the most selfish team ever, but sick as hell as to watch.

The 80s team would win even without Bird and Magic. That would just mean that your point guard would be Stockton or Isiah. I can live with that. Besides that gives room for Pippen and another player. Pippen or Dominque can be your small forward.

I think Shaq would be the hardest guy for the teams to handle, but if anyone watched when he played against the Rockets in the finals Hakeem destroyed him. I’ve seen Rodman handle him well too. Either way, that’s just assuming he would get to touch the ball with that team. Iverson and Kobe would be trying to outscore each other.

The 90s team would be 2nd. Despite the selfishness, I think they have too much talent for the 00s team to compete with plus they would get destroyed inside by Duncan and Shaq on both ends of the floor.

I would take the 90’s, but anyone with common knowledge would start Kidd. Now that team would be sick!

Magic was drafted in ’79 and Bird was drafted in ’78, so they can’t be on the team. I would go with the 90’s team. If we are basing this on players in their prime, then Hill, Penny, Tmac, and Webber were all top 5 mvp candidates at one time or another.

add in shaq, Duncan, Kobe, Iverson, Nowitzky, and Nash who all won mvp’s, and I think they would be too awesome to stop.

It’s the ’80s team hands down. You have Hakeem and Jordan on the same team? The two best players at their respective positions? C’mon guys this is an easy one.

Jason Kidd grew up playing with GP and would tell you who the better player was. Sayin Baron Davis is better than The Glove is a joke as well. The only valid argument is that Steve Nash is a better pure point guard than him

    haha here we go:

Jason Kidd – 2 finals appearances

Gary Payton – had to get thru Hakeem’s Rockets and got to the finals against Jordan’s Bulls
Do you honestly think J. Kidd would have made it to the finals with his Nets against MJ or The Dream?

just so you know, GP has actually been to the finals 3 times not once. And in his prime, GP was better then Kidd, Davis, and Nash. GP locked dudes up on D, was often the number one scoring option on his team, and had a great post/mid range game. All the point gurds were great, but GP was the best.

this site even said the dream team couldnt beat the redemption team….yall really think the best player from the the lates 70s to 92 can beat the best players from 93 to 2009-2010..no way were talking bout lebron freak of nature james…kobe dwayne howard, duncan, iverson……the players thru the 90s couldnt beat jordan they let him win 6 rings

kobe has 4 but has been there more then 4 times …….tim has 3… these are legends

were talking about iverson a player they had to cahnge the rules for shaq a player thye laso had to change rules for…were talking about and whole nba that has changed rules and style of play.. 3 seconds rule…..how to play defense n u cant really have contact behind the 3 point line or its a foul …like the game has changed in our players are hybrid in dominate so we a dominate the other generation jsut like future generation will dominate us

I’m just now coming back to this post. Even though Nash won two MVP’s, Payton is better than him. Defensively Payton is equal to Nash offensively, but Paytons offense is better than Nash’s defense by a mile. Nash would have never won an MVP if he played during Payton’s peak years or during the 80s. As far as Kidd goes, I would give him the edge in his prime. Baron Davis shouldn’t be mentioned. He’s one of the most overrated players. At times he is amazing, but he really doesn’t do anything that well. He shoots 40% from the field, 32% from the 3 and 69% from the free throw line for his career and he’s never won or really done anything in my eyes. He’s an inefficient gunner.
