Mr. BasketballParticipantI’ve seen a lot of posters putting wall in their best prospects in the draft list and everyone comparing wall and rubio now. Is there an okay chance that he does get in the 2009 NBA Draft or are u guys just hoping?

Csharp3410ParticipantI agree, more hoping then anything….He sure would make this draft a lot better though.

tuck243ParticipantITS impossible…. LOL… The rule is 19 and one year removed from high school (actually one year from your graduating class)… He can go to the NBDL… This post is pointless because he CANT be in this years draft… Whats wrong with you people?

QHaynes123Me personally,I think the NBA may let him in the draft
I hope John Wall goes to Duke if he picks college
But if he goes into the Draft, I think he could be top 5.

DcmRulzParticipantThe two issues for wall’s 2009 draft issues are:
-age (he turns 19 this year before the regular season starts, so they might count that)
-high school graduating class (isn’t he a 5th-year senior? does that count as 1 year removed?)i think though, that if he tries to declare, they wouldn’t let him enter.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantYea. He went to a prep school after his senior year. To me that is 1 year removed.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantRight now, nobody knows if he can because it hasn’t been reviewed by the NBA officals. If he does manage to slip in, the rules will be changed to prevent it from happening again.

tuck243ParticipantLast time I checked John Wall attends Word of God… Which is a HIGH SCHOOL not a Prep school… If he graduated last year then its a NO brainer that he will enter this years draft (I’m 95% sure he didn’t)… But if he graduates this year, he has to be ONE year removed from High school, and this year will be considered his graduating class… Bill Walker had something similar in which he attended high school for 5 years… But the CBA, states one year removed from high school… He has to have someone in the Department of Education in NC to forge a diploma for last year… LOL… So like I said this is a dead issue… NEXT!!!

tuck243ParticipantJohn Wall reclassified himself for 2009 his freshman year (so basically stuck in the same grade)… He is trying to use his 5 year tenure with the same HIGH SCHOOL as an extra year prep… He didn’t graduate last year… So he will be at Kentucky or Duke next year…
