canadabasketballisrisingParticipantCharlotte is desperate for competitive basketball and gets their star that would never sign there and becomes a likely playoff team in the east. Rockets get the third pick and draft Toppin as their small ball 5 (or okenye).
Harden
Gordon
Covington
Tucker
Toppin or Onkenyewith Byombo/ Rozier/ House off the bench

NorrinRaddParticipantMaybe both teams say yes. Charlotte does need to sell tickets. Rockets maybe believe in Okongwu and get rid of a disgruntled player. Maybe both teams say no. Charlotte is a lottery team waiting to happen. Westbrook would put them in the worst position-mediocracy. The Rockets wouldn’t get any better really either.

dmo21ParticipantI kinda like the idea of Westbrook to Charlotte. Everybody is down on him but he’s still an all star player who’s a competitor. Probably be best if he’s the alpha on his own team. He’ll be the best player Charlotte will ever get for a long time. Could put them into playoff contention in the East. Charlotte also has big expiring contracts and some decent young pieces to make it work.

bt102ParticipantCharlotte does need to sell tickets, but it’s not happening. I heard their general manager came out and said they aren’t trading for Russ.

HitsterParticipantWould Westbrook be that happy being landed onto a lottery team. He might improve them but to borderline play offs. Plus they have to fund his huge contract and no-one has any idea when fans will be let back in the building.

HitsterParticipantThere is talk that Harden is interested in going to the Nets for some mega trade involving picks, Dinwiddie, LeVert etc. If Harden does go then Houston would be rebuilding and Westbrook would likely want out. But his value would lessen if teams know he wants out so if Harden rumours are true then getting a guaranteed high pick for Westbrook could appeal to Houston and allow Stephen Silas to have an immediate rebuild to coach and develop.

sniperParticipantCharlotte is the kind of team that should think about gambling on Westbrook. But the #3 pick is too high. A #3 is a chance to find a franchise player — those opportunities don’t come around too often. Westbrook is great and would make the Hornets better immediately, but he’s 32 and no longer a franchise player for a winning team.

NorrinRaddParticipantmaybe not a winning team, but it’s possible Westbrook could get to the playoffs in the least, I mean East. Ehhh ehhhm.
