canadabasketballisrisingParticipantWarriors are looking to win now, but need to attach Wiggins because of the hard cap. What can they realistically get other Booker or Beal, maybe? I dont even know if i would do that for beal… any other players? They would have to at least be that good…

AEWParticipantlmao you wouldn’t trade the #2 pick and Andrew Wiggin’s lifeless body for Brad Beal? The Wizards would hang up so fast and so would the Suns. Stop with your terrible trade ideas about getting Booker out of Phoenix.

AEWParticipantTheir offer would be #2, Wiggins and whatever filler to throw in.
– Indiana: Sabonis/Turner & TJ Warren: Pacers are a good team but don’t have the parts to be championship contender. Maybe they try their luck with rebuilding. This would be the trade (specifically Sabonis and Warren) I would be pursuing.
-Boston: Heyward & #14: Heyward will likely opt in for 1 more year maybe Boston doesn’t need him and would swap him out for the #2 to maybe land another young stud to go along with Tatum & Brown.
-Orlando: Vucevic & Isaac: Similar to Indiana, cash in on Vucevic’s prime to land #2
Also if I were GS I would be sniffing around to swap #2 for young players like Marvin Bagley or Wendell Carter because I’m not in love with this year’s draft and still like their potential.
I tend to think they will like someone enough to draft and develop their potential while seeing how the trade market unfolds over the next year. Maybe it turns out to be sorta like a Spurs/Kawhi situation. Also I think it is possible when Curry & Klay get back they are not as good as before and don’t get back to contender status – if that’s the case maybe having a top draft pick to develop is the better route.

OhCanada-Participant“Orlando: Vucevic & Isaac: Similar to Indiana, cash in on Vucevic’s prime to land #2”
This might be the best possible fit for Isaac to land at because him and Steph Curry are extremely religious. They would really fit in well together. However I highly doubt Orlando accepts this trade as they are pretty high on Isaac.
I understand Warriors shopping and seeing what they can get but they have such an easy pick here. Just plug somebody in at Center, he doesn’t even have to start. Just has to give you 15-25 minutes a game. Could be Wiseman, Okongwu, hell they could even draft Obi Toppin for the role and it would work out perfectly. I really like what I saw from Wiggins defensively in his time with the Warriors and think they could get alot out of him.

sniperParticipantWiggins & 2nd pick to Spurs for DeRozan (expiring contract) and 11th pick?
Spurs would have to really like what they could get with the #2 — I think Toppin is the only guy they might want enough to take back Wiggins’ horrible contract. Or maybe they would line up another deal for the #2.0 -

bt102ParticipantNo chance Booker or Beal gets dealt for #2. I could maybe see the Isaac and Vucevic for #2, but I seriously doubt anyone at #2 is better than Isaac. The big names going around surround the Philly duo of Embiid and Simmons. Truthfully don’t want neither of them to go to GSW. One name I thought was Kevin Love. Swap Wiggins, pick 2, maybe Golden State’s 2021 first for Kevin Love and Cleveland’s Pick 5. Cleveland could Obi Toppin to replace Love. I haven’t heard a lot of buzz with Obi to Cleveland so maybe not.

OhCanada-ParticipantKeep an eye on Embiid as well. Warriors also have Minnesota’s 2021 1st round pick (top 3 protected ’21, unprotected afterwords). This may not seem like a feasible trade right now as Embiid is averaging 30 and 10 on the brink of elimination but come the trade deadline next year if Philly is struggling and the Wolves aren’t in the playoffs package of Wiggins, Wiseman, Golden States ’21 pick, Minni’s ’21 pick and future picks may not be too far off.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantIf I’m philly I’d see if the warriors would be interested in horford and some combination of other players or picks (possibly Richardson or thybulle) for Wiggins and the second pick. Horford doesn’t make sense in philly but he could actually make a lot of sense in golden state if he can be anything close to the player he was in Boston a few years ago. You know Philly is eager to get horfords deal off the books and picking up a second overall pick in the process would be about the best scenario they could hope for. It makes some sense for both sides. Golden state is probably thinking bigger here in terms of who they could get but it’s at least something to keep in mind.

canadabasketballisrisingParticipantHorford has equal value to wiggins straight up… no way in hell the second pick is traded for that.. I dont like wiggins either but he is 25 and a proven scorer.. wow..

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantTo clarify, I know the warriors wouldn’t trade Wiggins and the second pick for horford straight up. I’m talking about horford as part of a package including other players or future picks. Josh Richardson would probably need to be involved in this deal. The warriors window for a championship is now and horford (although declining) could still be a very useful player for them, especially if they could also get a guy like Richardson and maybe another pick in the process. That puts them in better position to win a championship next year. Would eating horfords contract potentially be painful? Sure. But this an aging team that is built to win now and if they are able to squeeze enough out of him to win another title it would justify the cost. I know they are likely thinking much bigger here and it’s not the most likely scenario but if no acceptable offers come for bigger names all I’m saying is it’s at least an idea worth considering.

Big FootParticipantCurrently there is a shortage of small forwards in the NBA and a surplus of centers. Andrew Wiggins may be overpaid but he is the only small forward currently on the Warriors roster. It makes no sense whatsoever for the Warriors to trade away there only small forward + #2 for an aging Al Horford when centers this off season will be plentiful and substantially cheaper than swallowing Horford’s contract. Player values can dramatically rise and fall based upon playoff performances when all the marbles are on the table. Based upon Horford’s playoff performance in the first round against Boston, his trade value is substantially greater if Al is dead than alive because the 76ers will still have to pay him if he is still breathing. Needless to say there is no reason for the Warriors to trade Wiggins for Horford even without the #2 pick because GSW can sign a solid veteran center using the taxpayers mid-level exception. This is significant because the Warriors are deep into the luxury tax for at least the next few years.

timothystrasserParticipantThe Warriors will trade Wiggins and the 2nd overall pick to Philadelphia for Embiid and Philly’s 24th pick.
