I am hoping that the Ws only have to lose one role player – Ian Clark. As much as we’d like to keep him, his play and potential have earned him a paycheck that can’t be cashed by the team.
With the organization being in an obvious win now mode, it would be great to add a game-ready player or two through the draft.
– Sindarius Thornwell – versatile guard with leadership experience in big game situations. Ideal size at 2, can guard smaller/softer 3s, coachable.
– Josh Hart – Simillar to Thornwell, Hart is a versatile leader who finds a way to win. Better size than Clark at SG with the same (if not better) ability to handle PG minutes and defend the 1.
– Tyler Dorsey – Combo guard who can flat out score. If the 2nd unit needs someone to reel off a few buckets or hit a big 3, Dorsey can deliver. He would slide in quite nicely next to Livingston (if he stays of course).
– Jonathan Jeanne – He will likely be taken before the Ws get in, but it would be nice to have a legit 7 footer to groom a bit.
Last year the Ws purchased the 38th pick from the Bucks to swoop Patrick McCaw, what team has an available pick? Maybe the 76ers with 3, 36, 39, 50?
Like Malcolm Brogden, Patrick McCaw, and Tyler Ulis of the 2016 class, who are some potential 2017 unheralded impact 2nd rounders?
