This team is in for a tough season. The supporting cast they have acquired in the offseason and also in the past few years in the draft do not compliment the core very well as of now.

Deangelo Russell does not look like a good fit early on. He holds onto the ball and doesnt compete on the defensive end. Willie Caulie Stein should be a very important peice but still hasnt palyed with the team due to injury.

When I think of Warriors basketball I think of positionless basketball, great ball movement, great movement without the basketball and movement. Theres a reason why Lee and Evans werent playing last year, the skill level just isnt high enough yet. Guys like Spellman, Chriss, Robinson, Poole and Paschall would seem like decent fits but when you throw 5 new guys into a system it really disrupts your cores habits.

So as of right now they are unable to play the quick passes and hard screens halfcourt basketball we are used to because with this young/low IQ basketball team it just leads to way too many turnovers.

I still wouldnt count them out and expect them to find a way to make the playoffs but it seems like an uphillbattle.

I think the commentator summed it up best when he said " No this isn’t a g-league team, its actually the Warriors ! ".

Absolutely no depth and Looney although talented has injury probs which is why he dropped in the draft.

    Draymond Green is overrated.

Kelenna Azubuike was literally shocked. Those Warriors announcers havent had to work in a while. 75% of this game was garbage time.

What do you guys think about this trade

Warriors get: Robert Convington and Deing(need his salary for the trade) and the Timberwolves 1st rd pick

    Timberwolves get: D Russell

Wolves starting off good but let’s be real, they ain’t making the playoffs in the west. Giving the Warriors a lottery pick next year and it doesn’t look like they’ll make the playoffs either so that’s two lottery picks…they need some young athletic scores to come off the bench.

They look like a Lottery Team at the moment, I don’t think D-Lo is a great fit TBH, I think they’ll need to trade him for a system guy, ideally someone who can replicate what they lost in KD (albeit a much lesser degree)

I’m a die hard 76ers fan, I really like Tobias Harris and think he be a great fit in our Championship Hopes BUT If I’m being honest, I think D-Lo for Harris would help both teams out greatly, In Harris the Warriors get another unselfish Wing who can Score and Pass, he also defends better than Russell and would allow Steph to play drive and kick, and he can run the offense as well

With Russell on the 76ers roster, Philly would have a 2nd Ball Handler and potential closer, yes he’s a terrible defender, but next to Simmons/Richardson/Horford/Embiid/Thybulle/Ennis/Scott/O’Quinn he’d be covered by tough defenders at every position…

Who says No to Harris for Russell trade?

Assuming Klay comes back 100% next year, the Warriors would have Steph/Klay/Harris/Green and WCS as a starting lineup, I think they’d be able to be contenders with Harris in place of Russell(who does too much of the same things of Curry and can’t defend the Wing like Klay)
