Reported that he’ll sign a 4 year 100 million deal with the Magics tomorow. Would have liked to see him go to a contender, but good for the Magics. I thought they’d let Bamba take over when they drafted him but as soon as he wasn’t traded at the deadline I expected them to resign him.

I expected that. +1 whoever posted Kyrie bought a house in Brooklyn a few weeks ago. Looks like he’s going there 4/$141. That’s actually more diligent reporting than Woj.

I don’t know what the plan is going forward for the Magic. Neither do they probably.

They now have Isaac, Okeke, Vucevic and Bamba to fight over 96 mins at the 4 and 5, and that’s if you play Gordon strictly as a 3.

An Aaron Gordon for Jaylen Brown trade I think would be a fair deal and would help both teams.

Interesting to see if/when Fultz comes back.

Vucevic’s deal is good value considering he was an All Star this year and that guys of that level can get north of $30 million a year especially at Vucevic’s age. But with Bamba, Isaac and now Okeke to find minutes for around Gordon and Vucevic it will be an issue unless they use Isaac, Gordon or Okeke for some SF minutes.

Nothing personal against Vucevic who seems a good and smart dude but truth is, when a center is good, he should make you win games, which is not exactly the case for Vuc.

Vucevic is far from being the best rim protector and giving him that type of contract over four years could prevent Bamba from having the minutes to reach his potential and will be hard to move. They did a bit the same with Fournier at a lesser price because they make the mistake to think that a nice guy that has skills deserve a big contract (same for the Hornets with Batum).
