    Vince Carter has agreed to re-sign with the Hawks on a one-year deal.

     

    Upon the completion of the 2019-20 season, Carter will be 43 years old and will hold the record for the most seasons played in NBA history (22) overtaking a few names listed below

     

     

     

    21 Kevin Willis    
    21 Vince Carter    
    21 Robert Parish    
    21 Kevin Garnett    
    21 Dirk Nowitzki

     I think he’s trying to get the record for most games played. Hes 127 games behind Robert Parish (1611). Two more seasons. Thats probably why hes looking to be a part of a teamas rotation and not "ring chasing".

      During an interview on PTI last season he said he wanted to play one more season. "Yeah, I think I could stretch it out one more…I think I could give it another year, so why not?"

     If true I think he will be the only player to play in four different decades 90s,00s, 2010s, and 2020s

    I wish he could’ve finished his career in Toronto. That would have been a pretty good farewell tour.

     Of all the guys in the history of the game, I never thought Vinsanity would hold the record for the number of seasons played.  especially with his history of injuries.  One of the most athletic guys to ever play the game, I assume in the later stages of his career that Vince took better care of his body after his world class athleticism had disappeared.  A great accomplishment.

    That’s really an incredible accomplishment for anybody and for sure that someone who was always labeled as trash once his athleticism is gone. I totally agree that he obviously took good care of his body and he was never in any legal trouble or had any kind of off court trouble.

    He still earned a lot of my respect during his Mavs championship run where he played the role of the dependable vet and was very well respected by his teammates. Vince is still half man half amazing and a true legend.

      He actually joined the mavs a year after their championship run. I don’t believe he has won a championship but he hasn’t gone ring chasing either so props to the man.

         What’s wrong with ring chasing? 

        It’s not like Vince is getting a ton of playing time or getting big $ deals. I think Vince made a mistake tnot signing with a title contender. When was the last time Vince was even on a playoff team?
