Now I know what you’re thinking. Canadian Raptors fan wants a guy from Toronto on the Raptors. True, but hear me out because it’s about more than that.

I doubt the Cavs let him go anyways but watching his relentless rebounding and energy in the paint I can’t help but think he’s exactly what’s missing in the Raps front court. I love Amir Johnson for all he’s accomplished on the court and for how he’s embraced Toronto as a whole. I want him to stick around but he should NOT be a starting 4 on a playoff team.

The question now is what would it take to get Tristan Thompson in Raptors Red?

 I like thompson, but the raptors are not going to do either of those deals.  The move makes sense, expecially if the cavs keep love.  But the more likely trade would be

My point, was neither are the Cavs. Lebron has the same agent as TT and has been waiting for him to get his deal done before he signed. It would take something outrageous for them to give him up right now. Kevin Love is more likely to be traded than Thompson is

 Cavs are only looking to bring in a veteran pg to back up Irving and move Dellevedova to 3rd wheel. 

I do not see the Cavs being involved in any trades that don’t involve that and the unloading of Haywoods 10mil C.which is beneficial to the team receiving Haywood as a salary dump when waived…to facilitate aquiring a target f/a.

The Cavs are able to pay big money to their existing players because they are existing players…and there is no way in hell they are trading Thompson this season…for anything less than an equaly impactful player and I just don’t see one on the block anywhere esp not in Canada.
