Ty BenjaminsParticipantAs we all know, Dwight Howard will more than likely be traded out of Orlando. Thats for starters. Due to the fact that he only has 1 year left on his contract and he doesn’t make any committments for long-term deals, his trade probaly won’t land Orlando another star in return. And Orlando never land big name free-agents (t-Mac and grant hill are the only ones i can remember) That leaves the city thirsty for another star. Insert Tony Wroten.
Wroten is expected to be a mid-first round pick due to his weaknesses such as shooting and turnovers. But IMO his strengths such as passing ability, athleticism, ballhandling, etc… outweight those setbacks. On talent alone, he is a top 5 pick and on a team like Orlando who is going to lose their star and has a new coach, that type of talented rookie will have all the freedom too shine, John Wall being a great example. I think the floor spacing in Orlando with all of their shooter will give wroten all kinds of iso room which is something he excels at. Also, the pick&roll/pop with Big Baby and Ryan Anderson would be lethal with Wroten. And if Dwight somehow stays, watch out.
I could see Wroten averaging 17.5 points and 8.4 assist per game on that team

ZYHEHEWAParticipantPortland Trail Blazers – Although seemingly on an island with this opinion, it’s hard to see the Blazers not making some serious noise in the NBA this season. LaMarcus Aldridge – a proven scorer who finished in the top-10 in the NBA in that category last season- appears primed and ready to lead a young and talented Portland squad in 2012-13.

MOMINGParticipantMaybe two years, maybe three, maybe five years from now. Or maybe even at the end of this season if the Lakers win their coveted 17th franchise world championship—though it’s unlikely Bryant would miss out on a chance to break the Boston Celtics’ NBA record for most titles.

MOMINGParticipant“In the game the other night, he was throwing the ball between guy’s legs, behind their back and making guys fall. He’s making things very easy.

MOMINGParticipantWhen Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant finally emerged from the Los Angeles Lakers’ locker room late in the first quarter, they got a standing ovation just for walking to their seats.ndfgs

MOMINGParticipantThe Lakers’ fans shouldn’t worry. Their big stars expect to be out of street clothes and back in uniform very soon – and for much bigger games than an exhibition in the Inland Empire.bsg3443

Lakers_own_uParticipant“I think it’s just a matter of letting him get back into the game,” coach Rick Adelman said.
“He’s got to get in game shape so he can show us something. Right now, it’s more important that he just gets healthy.”
