Great feat by Steph Curry breaking Ray Allen’s 3 point record of 2,974. Steph will soon be past 3,000 and could be nearer to or even over 4,000 when his career ends as he’s got another 4 years on his deal and a player’s shooting tends to hold up even when his athleticism slows down.
Also Steph has missed nearly 20% of games across his career and there have been some shortened seasons so he has done it in just 789 games which is under 10 full seasons which is just amazing.
magic johnson, dr. j, shaq, jordan and lebron r some players that changed the way the game is played and officiated .u can now add curry to the list…
after curry broke the record last night i was looking at the top 20 all time 3 pointers made..i was kinda surprised seeing lebron ranked number 11..and he averaged 40% from beyond the arc in the 2012-13 season while in miami…
it’s going to be awhile before anyone breaks that record..the competitors for the record ,harden, klay, lilliard & pg13 are all around his age…
Klay would have been much further up the list but for missing last couple of seasons. A lot of the guys high on the active list are only a year or two younger than Steph so to overhaul him they would need stellar careers into their mid 30’s and beyond.
But I once thought that Ray Allen’s record would stand like Kareem’s points record so lets wait and see.
