Out of these 10 PG pick one to start and one to be the backup. (I’m going with Steve Francis Starting and Stephon Marbury as my Backup)
Damon Stoudamire
Kenny Anderson
Rafer Alston
Rod Strickland
Stephon Marbury
Jason Williams
Steve Francis
Baron Davis
Nick Van Exel
Mike Bibby
Baron Davis
Mike Bibby
Davis and Bibby were the two best on the list — both were borderline all-stars for a number of years. I’ll take Bibby as the starter because he led the Kings during that playoff run in ’02 when they almost knocked off the Shaq-Kobe Lakers in their prime (Kobe should have been suspended for game 7 of that series after his elbow to Bibby’s face in the closing minutes of game 6).
For the backup I’ll take the guy Bibby replaced in Sactown, Jason Williams. You like to have a backup PG who changes the pace. It can be a high-risk, high-reward type of thing. White Chocolate brought a level of energy and craziness like no one else on the list.
Start Davis, back up marbury.. this isnt close other than Francis.
Marbury starting and Francis as a backup or 2
