i’ve viewed several articles about the speech micheal jordan gave during his hall of fame introduction…some say it was in poor taste..they said it was like a bully tripping nerds with their lunch trays in the school cafeteria..it was suppose to be about the greatest player ever..but he was there trying to settle scores..scolding coach smith for not puting him with the other 4 carolina starters on the cover of s.i..flewing in leroy smith & their high school coach..then telling the coach ..U MADE A MISTAKE DUDE!!!. Jordan was cut from his high school team his jr. year to make room for smith..WHAAAT??!!! MICHEAL ‘AIR’ JORDAN THE GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER!! FAILED TO MAKE A BASKETBALL TEAM?? that should be motivation for anyone to never give up..i say he just spoke about the things that drove him to become better..he remembered..he remembered it all..from being frozen out during the 1985 nba allstar game..being told that players don’t win championships..organizations do. did organizations play with the flu in utah? no! it was me!! he remembered not being voted north carolina high school player of the year during his jr. year…he remembered. van gundy calling him a con man..he remembered,detroit pistons creating rules trying to stop him..and he remembered thepistons knocking him on his ass.after their plans to stop him failed and he still scoreed 50..friday nite jordan showed he was human…..a man who worked hard,cried,was ridiculed,had to deal with rejection and become a better person from it…

I agree with you he told the story of what drove him to be the greatest player that the NBA has ever had and i enjoyed the speech and thought it was all in good taste.

i love MJ (check the picture) and i wasn’t surprised at all by his speech, but i thought it was kinda obnoxcious. we all know he is the greatest but he is still trying to prove it. I still love him but the speech kinda sucked. John Stockton gave a great speech

he hasnt changed since his playing days, kobe will do the same thing and probably take a shot at shaq during his speech

no we wont, Kobe hasn’t taken a shot at Shaq ever. reporters always try to get somethin out of him about Shaq, but Kobe handles himself like a professional and doesnt take the bait.

A lot of people give Kobe crap for coming off as fake when he does interviews becuase he is so full of cliche’s and doesn’t really open up. But I think it is respectable. He doesn’t rip into a lot players are try to be funny and end up saying outlandish things. He comes off as very professional for the most part shows respect to everyone(except that one time about Bynum).
