The GoatParticipantI don’t think I ever thought I’d say this, but I’m thinking the Sixers move the best 5 in the league, Joel Embiid. I know Jokic is awesome, Gobert and KAT are also up there. Point is, even with chatter about this, I hired it as stupidity for the most part and thought about what they could get in return, then saying no.
This stretch of Simmons with shooters is more than just a preview. It’s potential to cause issues now the genie is out of the bottle. Embiid coming back against Boston wasn’t do much about his terrible one off game, but it showed me that Ben got the cork put back on his bottle. That can’t happen.
There’s going to be difficulty in finding a trade worth doing, but I would consider asking teams for big returns, see how you go. You may get laughed at, you may get a deal. He is a polarising enigma.
Washington – for a deal around Beal & Bertans
Indiana – Brogdon, Oladipo & Turner
GS – DLo and Klay
Sacramento – Bogdanovic, Hield, first1+ -

BothTeamsPlayedHard-ParticipantOn one hand, Philadelphia is not going to deal Embiid this season, or probably next summer. On the other hand, lower your expectations now if you think those returns from Indiana or Golden State are anywhere close to possible.

holefillers1ParticipantI am trading Harris, Richardson and Horford also firing Brett Brown before it’s time to explore a trade involving Embiid

OhCanada-ParticipantI agree. Short term explore deals for the supporting cast Harris, Richardson, Horford. Mix it up a bit see if that changes anything and play out the season. If they dont show progress which realistically would mean winning the East they need to move on from Brett Brown. To be honest I feel like they should have already moved on from him. He got outcoached last year in the playoffs despite only losing by one shot and he failed to motivate Embiid so that would be it for me. They need to bring someone in that can try to take Embiid and Simmons to the next level. After that you can explore trades or just wait for an oppurtunity, hope that maybe a guy like Beal becomes available or something.

holefillers1ParticipantAnd we can fire Brett Brown now. Also Elton Brand throwing max at Toby Harris and Horford looks like an awful move. Turns out signing Harris instead of Butler was not a good idea. Lets fire Brett now, promote any assistant and fire Elton this summer. Then trade everyone but Simmons, Embiid and Thybulle.

220ParticipantBrett Brown needs to go today. He’s lost the team. Make a minor move or two if reasonable deals are available. Don’t take back any bad contracts at this point.

canadabasketballisrisingParticipantI’d consider trading Embiid if only if you can get Beal and a top 2 pick. Otherwise it’s not happening.

festar35ParticipantYou are taking basically our entire core for a guy who plays the same position as our best player in Sabonis. It makes zero sense for Indiana to make that move, look at the Embiid/Horford fit, Embiid/ Sabonis would be even worse not too mention we would have no supporting talent.
We have no need for Embiid.
