OhCanada-ParticipantThey are gonna get this guy healthy and bulked up. He will probaby miss all of next year training similar to what Philly did with Embiid. If this guy comes back healthy wtf are teams gonna do. How do you matchup against Bol Bol and Jokic? He’s proven he can gaurd in space and even if you blow by him his arms are 10 feet long lol. You cant gaurd his jumpshot and the kid rebounds. Murray is becoming a force in his own right and Harris is as steady as they come. Not to mention next year is Porter Jr.’s coming out party.
Denver looks like the team to beat for the next decade.

ZouldiersParticipantYou can all blame Pat Riley for this one.

chrsw003ParticipantI was shocked Bol lasted that long. I was intrested in him for the Hawks at 17 before they traded the pick. Love his potential. I guess everyone was scared bc injury concerns? Only thing I can think of bc the dude is so talented. I had him higher on my list than Bruno, but Bruno was my second big guy I liked so wasnt mad about it.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantThere has to be more to the story. You don’t let a guy this talented slip to the second round.

The GoatParticipantUnless he has HIV or a bag of sand where his liver should be, this is the second time Denver has benefited from others’ fear. I have Porter Jnr being a good shot of getting ROTY next year. If he can play the 3 moving forward, they may be able to keep Bol, Jokic and MPJ all on the floor at once. If not, it’s still going to be some rotation. Imagine the Joker sits down for a breather and a 3pt shooting Gobert walks on. Millsap and Plumlee still there too.

HitsterParticipantAs I’ve said on other postings hell of a lot of top GMs passed on him but the likes of Claxton, Gafford and even Bruno Fernando who had been seen as a potential lottery pick and a first round lock if he’s declared last year or when he declared this year all slipped into the second round.
If there were serious alarm bells about Bol 2 or something had shown up on his physical or medical records then he would have likely gone undrafted. He was Denver’s only pick and if they know that MPJ will be good to go next season then they can take their time on Bol. He only turns 20 in November and the Nuggets have a very experienced coaching and training staff who can help get him NBA body ready.
One of their assistants is true NBA veteran Bob Weiss who has been on NBA coaching teams for over 40 years so could be the sort of guy who could be detailed to oversee Bol’s development.

barbabodomParticipantSo…basically Denver is a contender in the West with 2 lottery talents in the sideline waiting to contribute. Scary.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantBol Bol will not impact an NBA roster, he’s actually on my short list of Bust Candidates from this class
I think we forget just how many of these exact type of propects never amount to squat in the League, throw Bol Bol in that list too guys

CynthiaParticipantPretty sure it’s not possible for a 44th pick to bust. Even in his expected 15-25 range he would never be seen as a bust. The bust label is reserved for 1-5 picks who are actually expected to start or make some significant impact. Bol Bol whether he turns out good or not was always seen as a long shot that may take years to develop, so labeling him as a potential bust is pretty stupid.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantMany people wanted their team to select him in the 1st round of the Draft, I saw call for him to be drafted in the Lottery, he’s been labeled as a Future Starter by many on this forum, I don’t care where he was drafted, he’ll never amount to anything more than a G Leaguer IMO

OhCanada-ParticipantWell maybe not a draft bust but he was ranked top 5 in his highschool draft. Alot of people call Giles a bust (who is actually playing very well).
