It is unlikely that the NBA or the locked-out NHL look at Seattle in the short term, but with a new state of the art building now a few years away, Seattle jumps to the front of the line in terms of a desirable destination for a relocating team, especially in the NBA.

This is the state of the NBA as the league announces today that the All-Star ballot will no longer require fans to choose a center as they stuff their local ballot boxes. Instead, fans can choose any three front court players, regardless of position. Here’s the press release:

Still in the midst of a lengthy battle with anxiety disorder, Royce White says that he’s ready to put those issues behind him and contribute for the Houston Rockets.

“It’s like a whole different world, a whole different person,” Davis told Joshua Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel. “When you’ve got the organization, as far as the GM, motivating and saying good things as far as ‘keep it up,’ and you’ve got so many people behind you, that confidence grows. And you start really believing. I’ve always seen it: One day I will have an opportunity to lead. But I never had that opportunity. Now, the opportunity is here, and the organization and the coaches and the team just keeps feeding that fire. Now, there’s a responsibility. You start believing in that character. You start to walk the walk, because it’s important.”

The last time Gordon was really healthy he averaged 22.3 points for the Clippers, shooting 45 percent from the field, 36 percent from three and 83 percent from the free throw line. That’s the Gordon that the Hornets are hoping to have going forward, and if he’s ready on opening night the team might just be better that we expect from the first jump ball.
