Getting pumped for the season and wondering who y’all can’t wait to see play. Personally I love watching Gerald Wallace and he’s my all-time favorite, even over mj. I just love his hustle, I know he’s getting older now and hasn’t played for very good team but still love how he plays. Who’s your Gerald Wallace?!!

When I was a kid nobody understood why Sean Elliot and Anthony Mason were my favorite players. So I get you. Because the NBA is so top heavy, I’m not really dying to see anyone. I love watching the rookies and second year guys like Kyrie. I can’t wait till he tells a rookie "I get buckets". Really all the rookies and especially Neon Dion Watiers. Joe Wolf bet me a six pack that he wins ROY.

Ricky Rubio (when he’s back), Royce White, and Kevin Garnett for me.

So many really exciting players though, for real.

It will be important, however, for Lee to at least fill the open shooting guard role in the starting lineup to at least start the season. With Avery Bradley out for rough the first two months of the season, it will be important for Lee to answer the call and make sure he can provide the team with some nice minutes. 345232ga

Jason Terry is much more comfortable in the sixth man role, so there is no need to mess with that. Besides him, there are really no other pure guards that you can count on as Dionte Christmas and Jamar Smith are far too unproven to warrant meaningful minutes at this juncture.vafar2323

I always felt Lee would be the type of player that would fit in seamlessly with a new team, especially a team with championship aspirations. He doesn’t always need the ball in his hands and has always been a willing defender, dating back to his days at Western Kentucky.kuti676

I feel like I should put an asterisk by all preseason stats, but right now, they’re the only representation of this team’s defensive abilities. So here goes: In these first three games, the Timberwolves have allowed 70, 96 and 75 points, for an average of 80.3 per game. These first games were played against the Bulls and Pacers, so for a fair comparison, last year’s Timberwolves gave up an average of 110.3 points against those teams in three regular-season games. Obviously, there are some differences between the Bulls (DERRICK ROSE) and Pacers of last year and this year, but still, the numbers hint at improvement.

“Goran is a special player,” Beasley told HOOPSWORLD. “I wouldn’t compare him to Steve Nash. He does some things better than Steve Nash and some things worse, but overall he’s a good point guard and he’s got a lot of desire just like we all do. As long as he’s aggressive, his shot opens up and our shots open up. It’s easier.”

The Rockets have been looking for a way to move Martin, one of the last remnants of the Rick Adelman era in Houston, and the Thunder were looking to avoid the maximum contract discussion that Harden’s camp was trying to have. This deal accomplishes both things, and also gives the Thunder depth and draft picks in the deal.o86896

“I thought he did OK,” Carlisle said. “He’s a really good offensive player around the basket. Defensively, there are some things we have to work with him on. In the pick-and-roll defense, he tends to stay back and zone up and our coverage is more aggressive. It’s a mindset; just something he’s got to get use to, but he did some good things.”54213413

if he can find his rookie shooting form. Add in the return of three-point shooting wing Alan Anderson and the likelihood of sharpshooter Jose Calderon finding additional minutes in a two point guard lineup, and Ross’ opportunities to use his skill were under threat from day one. This Raptors’ training camp and preseason has been very competitive.

Of course, there is a bigger question facing Rockets owner Les Alexander, who is set to pay $70 million for Harden, and will shell out roughly $13.6 million apiece for Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik three years out. Can a team built around Harden, Lin and Asik compete for a championship? And if not, isn’t that a lot of money to spend on a team that, on paper, is not currently a playoff team? Also, while Morey and his staff look at the cap hit, which is roughly $8.3 million per season for three seasons for Lin and Asik, the checks they will cash in three years will be that $13.6 million number.

It is a process for a rookie,” Casey said. “He is not that far behind because the one thing he can do that makes up for a multitude of sins is he can shoot the ball at the end of the day and that’s part of the process too.
