 While Brooklyn readies themself for probably the most important offseason of their franchise beyond the summer where they shafted themselves by giving away all their first rounders for the aging Celtic big 3, they made an interesting move the other night. They let Rondae Hollis-Jefferson go.

Nobody forgets to acknowledge Anthony Davis, or other big name moves that take place in the NBA. Which is why when subtle, calculated moves happen, GMs revel when their plan comes together. I think Rondae Hollis-Jefferson could be the kind of player who has a tremendous impact on the right team.

He’s not a floor spacer but my goodness is the man effective as a defender. I think his performance ranges from "a 3 point shot away from being a serious player" to he really needs to clean up his mistakes. I’m very intrigued to see where he lands. I really think wish seasoning/right opportunity he could really become a high caliber player. What do you guys think?

people said same thing about MGK.  unfortunately, he never developed a jumper and is now behind batum and bridges in carolina.  

i actually think the new style of nba helps RHJ since there’s more position-less basketball.  think portland would be ideal landing spot since they’ve had success with similar type players in harkless and aminu.

As a Portland fan, I agree! We drafted and traded him. He’s the kind of low risk high reward player that get GMs longer contracts. As he is he would be an asset, if he could develop his skills he could be tremendous.

 Everytime I watch him play he reminds me with his style Shawn Marion, but less athletic…

 We don’t know what sort of money RHJ was looking for on his new contract. If he wanted a lot more than the Nets were prepared to offer him they have probably decided to cut him lose.

He isn’t a good 3 point shooter so that is a big factor for a lot of times as with star players, the likes of RHJ needs to be a viable shooting option if he is the free guy. 

The Nets have recently got Prince from Atlanta so he’ll readily fill a percentage of RHJ’s minutes.

RHJ will doubtless get some decent offers this summer and find his way onto another team.
