     Up late watching NBA TV and it has been reported that the Rockets and Pelicans have agreed to a deal.

    Pelicans get: Omer Asik

    Rockets get: 2015 1st round pick.

    I am a little shocked that for the 2nd year in a row, the Pelicans give up a future first rounder. They HAVE to make the playoffs to validate this deal. Asik and Davis will stop a lot of shots at the rim though.

    As for the Rockets, WOW! You get rid of one of the poison contracts, get a first rounder for it and cleared some good cap space. Does Houston really have a chance to land a major free agent now?
