OhCanada-ParticipantAnd just the bad kind of terrible. Watching them is like watching the team USA scrimmages where players where all playing 21 going one on one. They are losing to the Heat 14 to 46 right now. Terrible.
I think sooner or later they are bound to give up the most points in a game in NBA history. Scary thing is, they probably arent out of the game just yet. I mean if they really can find the competetive spirit they could probably come back. But it wont be pretty.
What a mess. They are really locked into this Westbrook/Harden project. They are both locked in for 4 years at $380 million lol. Any rebuild would have to be a quick fix because they gave a bunch of picks and/or rights to swap to OKC, so its not like they could just trade Harden and rebuild by tanking.
But I think thats where they are headed because I just dont see how this is gonna work. Harden will most likely end up traded sooner than later in a similar deal like Carmelo to the Knicks.

Andv1 WaitingParticipantRockets have at least done an OKC by this I mean see Post P.G re-upping…They have gone all in for this year at least as they beleive the league is wide open this year and will evaluate at the end of the season to see who is kept(both players and coach),moved or they try go after on last big name and move everything else and form some sort of crazy big 3 with Eric Gordon and cheap deals filling out roster….Or blow it up and trade everything for as many picks as possible.
As for how far this team will go…That is hard call as they can be offensively scary but defensively they ain’t stopping anything…The big issue right now is that Harden can’t hit the side of the barn..Which is really hurting them,I can’t tell if this is him being,Lazy, out of shape or his confidence is knocked now that Russ is there though(going from the man to co-stars could be hard for him) who knows?

klementimeParticipantThey will never be any good, not with two egocentric players that really don’t complement each other but rather take away from each other. The rest of the bunch is what it is, a group of no names and washed out veterans like Nene, Chandler, Sefolosha. The only one resembling a decent NBA player is Capela, but even he is limited. If it is not an alleyoop then he can’t score, but OK – he has himself a role and he does it good.
But at the end it’s all on D’Antoni – his “style” is excellent – if you’re doing it on playstation, he had one good season with Phoenix and that’s mostly it. You can bomb from downtown all you want – if you can’t defend a chair (or worse – don’t have the will to defend a chair) you will not win anything. Because in the playoffs you may get a W or 2 based on shot only, but you’re not getting out of a series on shots only.
The real irony is that Houston lacks shooting! Other than Harden – there are no shooters! Yes they do shoot a lot and maybe one can say they are shooters but to me a shooter is someone that actually makes the basket. And they don’t have many of those.
