Pro 1ParticipantThe open coaching jobs are at Indiana, Philadelphia, New Orleans, LA Clippers & Houston. OKC is not looking for a new head coach.
I already made a coaching job thread https://staging.nbadraft.net/forums/topic/lack-of-diversity-new-coaching-hires-2020-off-season-tracker/

RUDEBOY-Participanta couple of interesting news stories today.
1.nba combine started today
2.those reports we heard of oladipo wanting out of indy seems to be true..myles turner might follow him out the door next….
3.mark cuban found delonte west, offered to pay his rehab & gave him a place to stay…but this doc rivers leaving the clippers story tops it all…it was kind of a surprise, but not surprising they decided to go their separate ways……
i think both sides got tired of each other..remember clippers were 1 of the 2 teams that didnt want to join the bubble..the other was the lakers..
both teams seemed uninterested in the restart ,but got it going as the games went on..while the clippers had to deal wit players who had issues both on & off the court with williams, harrell & beverly.. it appears though rivers wanted out after lob city disbanded…he rejuvenated 3 franchises, helped turned them into contenders.
doc will not have a problem landing another gig possibly in new orleans or philly…….0 -

sniperParticipantIf the Rivers firing is just about accountability, or that Doc failed to motivate the team enough, Lue makes sense as the next man up. But if Ballmer’s specifically mad about the Denver series and what Rivers did and didn’t do, and he’s looking for more of an in-game strategist … I’m not sure, most genius-level coaches have jobs. Maybe Van Gundy?
It’s hard to imagine Ballmer made this move without Kawhi and PG signing off considering they can become free agents in a year. If they did sign off, it’s notable that Kawhi has now soured on arguably the two most respected and beloved coaches in the league.

HitsterParticipantDoc got very involved in the recent political situation and the effect of the lockdown and the bubble has probably burnt him out a bit. I think he needs some time off as he iturns 60 next year and has been a head coach for over 20 years and 16 successive years. He must be a wealthy guy and would be in demand as an Analyst and may fany doing his memoirs too.
NOP would be an interesting fit for him with their young core, Houston have stars and a team like the Pacers with their strong organization would be a natural fit. But with the new season starting soon, I could honestly see him sitting out a year to take stock and see what happens then.
