bishopm.dotParticipantIt’s hard to say…..I would say he is choosing between Duke, UNC, and Kentucky. I would eliminate Duke because I don’t think he wants to play in that system. Something is telling me he may pick UNC, depending on if Lawson leaves. If he doesn’t leave, he’s gonig to Kentucky.

ncballerWe will see in the next few days how serious UNC and Wall are. Lawson and Ellington just put their names in the draft.

Mr.Duke 1426ParticipantAccording to scout dot com UNC hasn’t offered wall a scholarship. Anyone know if this is true? Or if they have any more to give?

JNixonParticipantThey may be over the limit…Idk. But if theyre not they would be VERY smart to offer. Unless they really believe in Strickland, Larry Davis, and Bobby Frasor to be full time pg’s

heelsfan1307ParticipantFrasor is done, and its Larry Drew. With Lawson and Ellington both declaring they now have ONE scholarship to offer. Could this be what John Wall was waiting for??

canesboy6ParticipantI would say based objectively on all that I have read is that Kentucky is the leader right now. However, I also know not to discount Roy Williams or the UNC program on a carolina kid who says Carolina is his dream school on myspace. What it seems like its going to come down to is Kentucky was the leader but the Scholarship is open now because Lawson and Ellington left, and Carolina returns an absolutely loaded team, with only a sizable hole at the point spot, where he would have more than a formidable chance to make a Derrick Rose type 1 year run and be the consensus number one pick. Carolina makes more sense, so it all really depends on if they got in the game too late or if he is listening to his AAU coach Brian Clifton, who has had bad relations with Roy in the past.

aio2002ParticipantFor the 100th time…just because a guy is a fan of a school growing up it doesn’t mean he’s going there. Both of Duke’s recruits were UNC fans growing up. Jason Williams and Bobby Hurley were both Carolina fans. Chris Paul was a Carolina fan. Michael Jordan was a NC State fan, etc.
It’s VERY unlikely that Wall is going to UNC. With Patterson and Meeks both testing the waters, my bet is that he’s going to Duke.

L.ShapParticipantDuke limits their guards. Name one good NBA guard from Duke. Wall realizes this. Nolan Smith wuz a problem in High School and Duke makes him look terrible. If UNC or Baylor is my best guess here.

ncballerUNC has a scholarship to offer and a need at PG. Just sit back relax and enjoy the ride. It’s gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.

aio2002Participantncballer…Wall’s made up his mind. Roy is happy with Drew, Strickland, and Mcdonald so they’re not pursuing him anymore. He’s not running off to a depleted Kentucky team fresh off an NIT appearance. There’s only one choice.

bmorebaskekballParticipantI think Duke is a good fit. The ball will be in his hands from day 1. Duke does shot a lot of 3’s but remember Jason Williams was always attacking the hole. With the shooters Duke has Wall would be a great fit. Also Duke does a better job of any team on the planet at spacing the floor. The driving lanes will be there he would put up great numbers at Duke. Ppl on this board act like Coach K doesn’t no what he is doing. John Wall would improve on both ends of the floor if he went to Duke

ncballerDo you have a source aio? Hopefully (for your sake) it’s better than mine. Mine is saying Duke if UNC doesn’t offer, but if UNC offers its UNC. I don’t think Roy has made up his mind about offering Wall or not.
From Ty and Wayne’s press conference he was asked a question about the scholarship available. His answer:
“We do have that open scholarship, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens with it”
Ahh the possibilities. haha

ncballer76erballer, I completely disagree. Wall will excel at wherever he goes. However I do feel like he is best at UNC in the run and gun system they have. Whether he ends up at UNC or Duke he will be a monster though.
