Which prospects would benefit most from an additional year of college ball?

As for soph’s and jr’s I’d say Kyle Singler, Nick Calathes (playing with Kenny Boynton will make Nick SO much better), Jeff Teague (although his wallet may not benefit if he doesn’t go) and Damion James

Every freshman, but my top 3 that should come back and next year dominate while improving their games are: Jeff Teague, BJ Mullin, and Hasheem Thabeet.

Yeah, any freshmen this year would benefit from staying. Teague as mentioned before, Earl Clark maybe? He seems pretty raw,.

Yeah no kidding, Aminu is borderline at the top of the list. Gani Lawal, Demar Derozan and Aminu are three guys who definately need another year.

I’m Syracuse biased, but I’m a UCONN fan and the biggest name that needs to stay is Johnny Flynn. He’s got the athleticism to play in the NBA, but still needs the college seasoning to become a proficient point guard in the NBA. I think his stock is just below the Lottery this season and could be a top ten pick and the number 3 point guard taken in 01 behind Rubio and Wall. As for the Thabeet concerns He’s a top 3 pick in this years and easily a top 5 next season. I don’t know how much more the college game can bring Thabeet especially in a weak draft where he can go number one overall.

Are you sure you are allowed to admit to being a fan of both UCONN and Syracuse? With Johnny Flynn, ‘Cuse has a chance to be a Final Four contender so I agree with coming back. PG’s with a Final Four on their resume will (almost)always compare favorably to those without.

Aminu need to start getting his butt kicked by bigger, stronger, more athletic players to start sharpening his skills (I think). If he came back I’m not sure he play as hard as say Blake Griffin, and that is what he needs to learn. The NBA is a rough teacher, but a quick teacher.
But if he were willing to committ to playing hard then college might do him some good.

I don’t think that there is one player in college who honestly can’t benefit from another year. Blake maybe the closest but there are plenty of things he can work on, like his FT shooting!! But when you can make millions, I could never hate on someone leaving early.

USF, I was implying that I’ve been living in my syracuse my entire life and I’ve worked for concessions and catering for the Carrier Dome Events over the last 4 years. I’m a Uconn fan at heart so most of the syracuse nonsense that comes out of my mouth is negative. Year after year their considered a final four team and I highly doubt they are this year. A top ten talent? I’ll agree to that, but Their nothing more than a sweet sixteen team this season. They live and die by Andy Routins it’s quite pathetic
