Question for everyone:

 Sort of wondering what OKC is doing right now? Do people think Presti has a move lined up that I am not seeing right now?

We re-up Noel that is ok as he was solid in a limited role with us.

Brought in Mike Muscala-IMO essentially Patrick patterson take 2…My guess is Morris is gone. If Bryant hadn’t bailed for Phoenix I would have maybe even though Dragen Bender could warrant a look..

Signed Alec burke- Like what the F%%K..We draft a guard/wing in Darius,We have Diallo,Ferguson and Roberson coming back…This is without mentioning possibly having Nader coming back…Are we overloading guards/wings or something?

We would have been better off getting Kanter-5 mill per year who has team chemistry and familarity with Donovan and Mario Herzonja(min) could essentially be Jermi Grant take 2(an interchangeble wing/forward)which is better than what Presti has done so far..

 Burks signing though. He could provide a spark and scoring off the bench. He used to be the next young player to break out in utah but they drafted exum hood and bought in ingles and others on the wing. He could create his shots and for others if given a chance and OKC needs a player on their roster to do that. Diallo and their wing players aint like that, schroeder supposed to be that but he wasn’t

 The summer is still young…I think the trades Steven Adams for some good pieces..

Bazeley is not someone they are expected to contribute this year. I quibble with that pick because it would seem that moreso than anyone else, they needed to get someone in their rotation with that pick. They went in the direction they did. With the seasons they are coming off, Diallo and Ferguson who merit clearing minutes. Burks and Muscala aren’t going to win any awards, but they are functional NBA players at a price OKC can afford. It is hard to criticize these particular moves when it isn’t Muscala’s fault Patrick Patterson lost his ability to make a shot. Alec Burks has had a very stop-start career because of injuries, but he is the kind of gamble they have to make given the financial constraints. If healthy, he is better than what they have.

But the NBA is insane right now – all these teams are hunting for Stars & there’s just not enuf to go around 

It looks like Kawhi is going to the Lakers & if that’s the case everyone is playing for 2nd place 

But if Kawhi stays in Toronto or goes to the Clippers this coming season is up for grabs & I’d def include OKC as one of about 12 teams that could make some serious noise 

But b/c there are So many good teams they could also go out in Rnd One –

 NOt trying to be a captain hindsight here but since Ive always been high on Jarrett Allen here goes…

I would of taken him late lotto and in a heartbeat taken Jarrett Allen over Ferguson.  Now with all these rumors of trying to trade Adams, this team would look completely different with Jarrett Allen.

There’s been rumors of OKC trading Adams for a while now but I really don’t see the point. He’s a great fit. The only thing I can think of is OKC is really trying to strike gold on bigs who can shoot from 3 hence the failed Patrick Patterson experiment and now Muscala. What we really need is a healthy and consistent guard to put alongside Westbrook. Roberson is one of the best wing defenders in the league but he’s been basically out on injuries for 2 years now.

As good as OKC has been over what seems like a decade now we’ve never had a consistent and good guard to pair with Westbrook. We had Harden and he jumped ship as soon as he could, same with Reggie Jackson. Then we had some vets that didn’t stick around long in Sefolosha & Kevin Martin. Dipo was solid but didn’t compliment Westbrook well because neither were great shooters, Roberson again is stellar on defense but atrocious on offense but he’s been injured for what feels like an eternity now. Paul George has been a great option as a reliable shooter but another shooter in the backcourt wouldn’t hurt. Someone who could faciliate as well to give Westbrook a rest for a couple plays a game. Let’s be honest Westbrook plays more like a slashing SG than a PG (granted most PG’s do now). But I think a more traditional PG next to him would work well. Someone like a Darren Collison who unfortunately retired too early IMO.

I’m not really sold on Burks being the guy we need next to Westbrook, but it’s worth a shot. The guy is good but been buried behind better players his whole career. If Roberson can come back healthy and a mix of Burks/Ferguson/Diallo can make up the offense we lose from Roberson we might be a contender again. But at the end of the day we still need a decent consistent guard and none of those 4 are that.
