Longtime lurker, first time poster.
I had an idea and wanted to run it by this forum to see if the trade was balanced.
Knicks trade:
Carmelo Anthony $26.2 Mil
Kyle O’Quinn $4 Mil
Lance Thomas $6.6 Mil
Trailblazers trade:
Maurice Harkless $10.1 Mil
Allen Crabbe $19.3 Mil or Evan Turner $17.1 Mil
Al-Farouq Aminu $7.3 Mil
Meyers Leonard $9.9 Mil
2 2017 First Rounders
Knicks get a chance to start fresh without Melo and Portland gets a third star to pair with Lillard and CJ while wiping some bad contracts off the books.
I like the move. I’m just not sure Melo would sign off on going to the Blazers. I put together a trade idea that gets Melo to Cleveland. It also includes Portland.
Looks like there’s no stopping the Warriors. If LeBron wants another ring he’s going to need more help. The Knicks are not winning anytime soon they have a great player in Carmelo Anthony. He could be their missing piece. They have no cap room or assets for a trade. Enter Portland. The Trailblazers have two horrible contracts in Evan Turner and Myers Leonard. All three teams could help each other out. They are each on different contending timeframes.
Trade idea:
Knicks Receive
Evan Turner and Moe Harkless
2 or 3 first round picks.
Cleveland
Carmelo Anthony
Portland
Iman Shumpert, Channing Frye, and RJ
They get rid of a horrible contract. They would have room to sign Paul Millsap who would be a great fit for Portland.
