armchairgmParticipantESPN kind of snuck in with the latest release of the mock yesterday that now Jeremy Woo formerly of SI will be contributing to their draft analysis and working hand in hand with Givony on their mock and draft coverage. Pretty good get by ESPN after losing Mike Schmitz to the Blazers last summer.

HitsterParticipantJeremy knows his stuff and I guess ESPN have funds to make him an offer he couldn’t refuse. Jonathan’s new mock looks pretty much on the money as usual. He did the best getting snapped up by ESPN having started his own site.

NorrinRaddParticipantJust finally read this mock… think parts are ok and parts are trash. GG Jackson has too much upside to fall to 27. Not sure Jaime Jaques Jr. is a success at the next level. He won’t be able to get to his midrange spots in the NBA where he makes plays. He’s 1 spot back at 28. He SHOULD be fringe. He’s an older prospect without consistent range and athleticism. Hard sell to think he just destroys an Evan Mobley down low. But I can buy he goes this high atm just by intel liking him. Dillon Mitchell, spots behind Jaquez at 31 is another tough sell for me. I wouldn’t consider drafting him unless he improved something other than his vertical. While I like Sasser as a borderline first round pick, he seemed they seemed to forget about Isaiah Wong. I used to be higher on both these draft gurus in their heyday, but Givony and a lesser degree Woo – they have it still, but I guess I’m just as high on other scouts’ opinions. I value Hoop Intellect, Barlowe or even Spinella as much. The No Ceilings crew seem to know what they are talking about as well. Aran Smith has been pretty solid over the years too – underrated. There’s a few I haven’t mentioned too. I don’t agree with everything for everyone, (especially the Ringer) but I’d check out other big boards/mock drafts and compare and contrast…

HitsterParticipantGivony I always thought was more cautious moving players up his mocks than Aran has been. I agree GG is far too low I think he goes before Lively for example. Jacques I think is too high he’s a good shooter but not a lights out 3 points shooter if he is a first rounder than so would Zach Edey if you used similar logic.
Jacques looks like the love child of Adam Morrison too.
