I have to say, this is pretty shocking to me. He played pretty well when he was out on the floor last year, so I’m surprised nobody was/is willing to go near a max for him.

I know people said only the Warriors wanted him last year, but that is simply a blatant lie. The Pelicans offered 2 years 40 million and anyone who says otherwise is a biased Boogie supporter.

I love his talent, but clearly teams are worried about the injury history and lingering attitude problems (even though he’s been on great behavior this year). I’m really curious to see what happens to him and where he ends up.

This is why I say ALWAYS secure the bag FIRST! Forget the rings and legacy BS if you haven’t gotten the bag yet (this is why I believe it’s idiotic people said Kawhi would come back on a 1 year deal or short term deal with Toronto – career ending injuries are real). Boogie got it backwards (and with no ring).

 You’re surprised that a center with an injury history and diminished athleticism wasn’t offered the max? He looked like he could barely make it up and down the court. 

I hope he can make the most out of the rest of his career, maybe even approach what he was, but he still has some proving to do.

I wasn’t expecting him to get a big pay day by any means but I’m kind of surprised he hasn’t even really received any offers yet (that I’ve heard of at least anyway). I understand there are a ton of red flags with cousins (primarily his ability to stay healthy) but you would think his talent would warrant at least a gamble from a team that might be one-piece away from contention, especially considering he could be had for extremely cheap. Even last season, playing at far less than 100% and in a diminished role, there were times he looked dominant on the court. 

Cousins had a good rupport with AD in their brief time together so lakers could definitely be a possibility if they don’t get kawhi. Clippers too for that matter. Wherever he goes, I expect him to get no more than a one year deal in the 5-7 mil a year range.

I think the Lakers and Clippers both go after him after this Kawhi decesion. Like homeboy said above me, he has a good relationship with AD.

 Achilles injury strikes again. Say what you want but this guy was the most talented Center in the league.

 He has lost speed. Usual attitude – doesn’t get the foul call on the offensive end so he doesn’t bother to run back in defense

 Is there a market for him yes there probably is. Sort of surprised GSW passed on him though..

But the question is this what does he want?

Money or Title contender?

If its money the options: This comes down to teams with cap room which unfortunately there isn’t many left now at this point.

But possible teams:

Lakers-If Kawhi falls through.

Mavs-If he wants ok money.

Clippers-Not sure if he really fits though.

Suns-If they wanted a pf or bench Center.

Knicks-Though he makes little sense there due to Portis,Taj and Randle all signing there..

Hawks..Though I don’t if he fits Play style..

Contenders/Playoff teams with a spot for him..

Houston-They could use him as either PF or off the bench in a 6/7th man like role 

Lakers(assuming healthy and miss out on Leonard)- Boogie,AD,Lebron and Kuz- is a whole lot of offense defense though is a question…

OKC-He would be awesome as our PF with Adams the only thing is you would need at least 3 defensive players to cover Boogie and Russ on that end of the court…Or Even as our 6th man..

Spurs..If Timmy D took him under his wing…Who knows it may mello him out a little.. 

Is there risks with Boogie. Like health and attitude possibly but if used right he is still better than at least 50-70% of the other bigs in the league IMO..
