 I still think anthony davis is the best player in the NBA. Just because he is not in the playoffs and was on minutes restrictions doesn’t take away from how good he is…. Teams would give up 4 or 5 players to try and get him !!

 Funny to me that somehow everyone here has a minus score so far.
I just want to say that before the playoffs started I don’t think KD would have been first on even half of these lists which is what annoys me so much.

Of course, he is as talented as they come. 7 footer with crazy long arms who may very well be one of the top 5 shooters of all time, has handles and moves like a guard and also knows how to play defense. But I just cant justify all this praise he is getting, not until he does it on his own team. I mean, he rarely gets double teamed because you have the 2 best shooters ever on the side, and always have a facilitator and playmaker at the highest of levels on the floor as well(Green and Iggy). So as good as he has been, this is a team which even without him is one of the more efficient teams ever, and for such a superstar he has it VERY easy. Imagine Jordan with no double teams. Imagine any one of the top 5 players on your list with such little defense against him.

And before you go saying that Curry and Thompson are having bad playoffs so far, it doesnt matter. Go look at how teams are playing the Warriors. They are still absolutely terrified of those 2.

I’ve felt Kevin Durant was the best player in the NBA for several years now. 

Offensively, he doesn’t have a single weakness. Yes, he’s gifted and talented, but his base or just foundational skill set, from the feet up, has no holes. 

What I love about him the most is there’s no spot on the floor where he’s not effective. He gets to his spots like MJ, except he’s 6 inches taller. He’s a better shooter than MJ ever was. He doesn’t have to dominate the ball or rely heavily on ISO/Hero ball, so he can play with any player. He goes to his ISO game when he needs to, for example if defenses are switching or it’s just the end of the shot clock. He doesn’t need 15 dribbles. He moves without the ball and can catch and shoot. He can shoot the one or two dribble pull up. He can post and turn and fade over either shoulder. He screens well. He finishes great. I could go on and on. 

I don’t think it matters what team he’s on at this point. He has the ability and skill set to make whatever situation he’s in work.

 I wouldve had KD first on my list. Kawhi I wouldnt have had top 3, probably 5th for him. I think Lilliard is another guy who always seems to rise on these lists towards the end of the regular season and playoffs.
