Pro 1ParticipantIf Jaden McDaniels isn’t in your top 14 then you just don’t know. After all of the NBA combines and interviews are completed he will be a Lottery pick for sure. A top 5 talent in this draft and could be the best player drafted looking back in 3 years. The NBA’s wide open run ‘n gun style of play is perfectly suited for his skill set.

bt102ParticipantJaden is intriguing but it’s the off-court stuff. He could be Josh Jackson or Kevin Porter Jr. type. He could be great but he needs the right system and needs to be humbled more.

Pro 1ParticipantThere is no off the court stuff with Jaden…what are you talking about? Jaden has been a model citizen his entire life no trouble in high school, college nor with the police.
Please explain that one to me and don’t confuse Jaden with his brother Jalen McDaniels.
Also, Jaden is one of the most humble people around he doesn’t go around bragging about himself he’s actually a very quiet keeps to himself type of person which this recent interview with ESPN’s Mike Schmitz shows https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC62EwrS85k

cpsisson7Participanthe’s top 20, its just his build, lack of motor, and inconsistency along with rangy play style take away from him being the most talented player in the draft besides maybe Anthony Edwards or Pokusevski/Oturu etc.
2+-
Posted on: Fri, 10/02/2020 - 1:22pm #1241185

Pro 1ParticipantHe’s easily top 5 based on talent alone.
His inconsistency comes from not playing with a point guard after the UW lost Quade Green in early January and they had no real back up pg on their roster. Go look at the games Jaden played with Quade Green against top teams like Baylor, Houston, Gonzaga and check his stats. Plus, head coach Mike Hopkins offensive game plan after losing Quade Green was to throw the ball to Isaiah Stewart in the post and everyone else get their own shots.

OhCanada-ParticipantI feel like Mcdaniels is this drafts Kevin Porter in the way of being a lottery type talent that will fall due to low basketball iq and immaturity concerns. He could go 10-30 and I wouldn’t hate on any team for picking him or passing on him. Whoever drafts him is going to have to be fully committed into his commitment on and off the court with his skills and his maturity. Although his brother Jalen’s legal issues and eventually slipping to the 2nd round and ending up a G-Leaguer before grinding his way to a bench role with Charlotte would have likely been a humbling experience shared so I think he is prepared for whats to come a bit better. Jalen McDaniels would have no doubt been a breakout “garbage time” player if this season did not get ended early.

Pro 1ParticipantExcept Jaden doesn’t have a low basketball IQ and isn’t immature either. I don’t know where you get you information from but if you watch the video that I linked up above you can see for yourself that Jaden has a very high basketball IQ and is very mature.
A lot of misinformation is seemingly going around concerning Jaden that’s why the NBA combine and individual team interviews will show teams not to believe the media hype concerning his person. And Jaden is a much better basketball player than Jalen.
Jaden had no involvement with Jalen’s legal issues which are nothing more than a girl getting upset that she was video tapped giving him consensual oral sex in HS. The girl’s family, his HS coach and Jalen had come to an understanding that if the tape was deleted it would be over but now that he’s in the NBA the girl wants some of his NBA money along with her friend that gave consensual oral sex to Jalen’s HS teammate of his on video. Little fast HS girls mad cause they got caught on film giving oral sex.

OhCanada-ParticipantCan’t find the footage anywhere but I remember a game where Washington had the last possession and was running out the clock he called for the ball and took a shot with the clock winding down. Bad character. Hes got a bad shot selection and is 6’10 but shot 40% with 3 turnovers a game. The guy has great talent but he really needs to go to the right program.

Pro 1ParticipantI watched every UW Husky basketball game Jaden played in and I don’t recall that series of events at all. So that equates to bad character if it happened? Wow. Just making stuff up about a person that you know next to nothing about. All of his coaches and teammates liked him and got along with him both on and off of the court.
I explained his poor shot selection already but you seemingly failed to comprehend those facts. His inconsistency comes from not playing with a point guard after the UW lost Quade Green in early January and they had no real back up pg on their roster. Go look at the games Jaden played with Quade Green against top teams like Baylor, Houston, Gonzaga and check his stats. cpsisson7Participantwow you have pokusevski that high. i think he’s a lottery talent but we haven’t seen enough of him and he hasn’t played enough etc. note dragan bender a couple years ago (2015?)

bt102ParticipantPeople say that but
http://www.tankathon.com/players/compare?players=aleksej-pokusevski–dragan-bender
The numbers aren’t even close. Dragan was bad in Europe and I really don’t know what scouts were thinking. 7 and 4 for per 36 numbers is…..indescribably bad. Pokusevski has at least shown he can be a ball handler and defender.
