OhCanada-ParticipantJust had a great game against the Nets and won the game on an amazing two man game with Jae Crowder. Kids a special talent, and everyone in the West is good this year.

Memphis MadnessParticipantYeah, Ja looked great! Electric — great finishes in traffic. Was ON in the 4th. Tons of upside!
Glad we got a win. Our young guns played well and our vets also stepped up.
Crowder with the dagger!!!!

RUDEBOY-ParticipantHe went toe to toe with 6 time all star Kyrie Irving and held his own. 17 in the 4th quarter got the late block on Kyrie.

Andv1 WaitingParticipantHis game seems a little like Trae Young with Westbrooks athleticism. He looks like a solid pick at number 2 for them.
and
If he stays healthy boy does he make trading Mike C away look like the right choice..The guy could be part of their core going forward which would be a feel good story for Memphis after so many years of middle of the pack blues..
Heres hoping when he comes time to spend on the right players they do it this time and not on Chandler parson type players lol

Memphis MadnessParticipantJa Morant reminds me of the Michael Jordan of point guards. ALPHA, leader, aggressive, flair, almost always in attack mode but still lets the game come to him, electric, and can hang in the air for days.
If he can master the mid-range game, knock down a decent amount of 3 pointers, and tighten up his defense, the sky is literally the limit and could end up being the NBA’s new poster child.
Teams are basically running a JORDAN RULES defense against him. Blitz, attack, blitz, hit him on the way up, on the way down, and hit him on the ground for good measure.

HitsterParticipantMemphis have given Morant the keys to the franchise by moving Mike Conley and he will get as much playing time as he needs. In the PG centric state of the NBA he has all the tools to become a potential superstar and has the ability to make his team mates better too,

Memphis MadnessParticipant^^^
It does look like point guard is the KEY position now. I think secondarily you have big men with some versatility — shooting, scoring, defense, passing. Obviously you want to find the next Kobe or LeBron, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. 3 and D wings would best complement your LEAD guard (point guard) and your PRIMARY BIG MAN (doesn’t even have to be a primary defender AND offensive player. Just someone who can hold down the fort inside on at least one side of the ball and can at least complement the other side).
I think teams are gonna try to find the "Next Trae Young" and the "Next Ja Morant" although I think Morant has more upside.
The league may be a bit bigger and longer than it was maybe a couple of years ago, but big men have definitely taken a step back — but I think a SUPERIOR lead guard/point guard can really unleash good/great big men. Then around your little man/big man duo you wanna surround them with 3 and D guys who can create/handle/distribute a bit (ideally).
