 Just got done with my first Mock Draft. Wanted to get some feedback and see what you guys think.

 I respect that you have some bold thoughts about this draft but can’t see some of them being THAT off. Like bol bol down to 22, tremont at 45, bruno in the second round, and KZ in the second round. I can see some of them fluctuating from where they are on this sites mock but not THAT much. And I respect putting tremont in this draft. Very unique player and skilled player but going to a team that needs to at least attempt to find a starting caliber pg for the future, I’m sorry but he’s not the answer

 See, I don’t see his mock as being that bold. I can definitely envisage a scenario where both Gafford and Fernando slip to the second round. They’re not floor spacers, and teams are heading away from traditional bigs. Like you I don’t think KZ will slip that far. Early second I think is his floor. 

Bol Bol is all over the place in mocks. If teams don’t think his body is up to the rigours he may very well drop to the 20’s. 

Can’t say much else. Second round is a crapshoot. We will definitely see more Euros drafted than what you have (as we always do for the draft and stash) but who knows who they will be? 

Overall a sold effort.

 This is by far the most difficult draft to mock especially after 4 so kudos to you for even making one.

 I have a general question for everyone because I’ve seen some different opinions on here before. 

When completing your mock, are you trying to:

– predict the actual draft order; or

– rank players based on what you think teams should do in the draft; or

– rank the players based on how good you think they’ll be in the nba? 

I always try and predict the order. I don’t necessarily think that’s what a team should do or rank how good a player’s career will be. 

For example, Zion has to go 1 based on fan a expectation, the trade value he holds and marketing, but I’m not 100% he is a sure thing. If I was ranking players based on his future NBA career; I don’t know if he’d be my #1. But, I think he’ll go 1, and I think he should be taken at 1.

 Before the lottery I go with who I think is the best or a big board.

After the lottery I go with what I think the order is going to be.

Usually if Im stuck I just go best player available and if I really like a player I’ll kinda force them into a higher position. Like right now I have Claxton at 19 to the Spurs but I’m pretty sure he will get picked lower.

Most of my 2nd round is just a big board, if I have time I’ll try to take a look at who teams brought in for workouts but over the years I’ve learned that doesnt tell you much.

Heres a hint for everyone. This sites mocks are usually extremely accurate in the last few weeks despite heavy critisism throughout the year.

 Even if I’d love Washington and Dort. Washington would pair with Williams perfectly and Dort is like a bigger more athletic Marcus Smart meets Terry Rozier. Johnson and Dort would go along way towards maybe replacing Irving and Rozier. Yet you can’t or likely shouldn’t pass on Bol at 22. Heck you probably shouldn’t pass on him at 20 unless your sure he’s getting to 22. Yea he’s risky, but his upside is crazy high.

 Really nothing crazy, surprises will happen and yours make sense.

I would be a little surprised to see Bone and Porter go that high in the second over some other guys.

Also second mock today not having Jaylen Nowell being drafted, the other being ESPN. So what am I missing? He’s a little awkward watching him play, yet he does a lot of good things minus his turnovers. Given his shooting, D, rebounding, passing, driving and scoring I don’t get it. Shouldn’t he be rising up draft boards? I have a crazy hard time passing him up at 51 if I’m the Celtics unless someone else drops. We can use a guard like him.
