pansadewaoParticipantRemember…."trolldom" is in the eye of the beholder. It reminds me of an incident in another place. Actually, not just another location, but another dimension. A dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s the signpost up ahead; your next stop, the Twilight Zone.

lwokesaParticipantThere are more than two weeks remaining before the Timberwolves’ regular-season debut against Sacramento on Nov. 2, and in that time, that glue should solidify. Roles will seem clearer, and making decisions about games will come more naturally to Rick Adelman and the team’s coaches. Right now, there are so many options, too many ways to tweak the team that just might work. There’s still time to experiment, but it’s drawing to an end, and to have early evidence of some viable options must be comforting.bsdfg

eoozosaParticipant“Competing from Jose and Kyle, to me and DeMar [DeRozan], to Amir [Johnson] and [Andrea] Bargnani, we are competing all the way across the board,” Anderson said. “It is a big difference [from last year] because guys are actually trying to [help] each other get better and want to play and prove that they can play.”

baf32332ParticipantMany NBA fans know to go at least one level deeper when looking at stats, taking into account a player’s PER, or Player Efficiency Rating. Even there, however, Harden ranks just 30th in the NBA, and there are a lot of players who ranked above him who are not close to being max contract players. Nope, we have to keep digging.

sgsr2323223ParticipantIt was a surprise when the Toronto Raptors took Terrence Ross eighth overall at the NBA Draft in June, but after hearing head coach Dwane Casey’s explanation, the pick made sense for Toronto. Casey had scouted Ross personally before last year’s lockout-shortened season got underway and the young wing had exceeded expectations during his sophomore season at Washington.
