As a sixers fan, I’m still on the fultz bandwagon. I wanted to hold onto him since his value was low, I felt we were better served holding onto him and giving him time to get healthy and make a comeback. Now he is playing fairly well. His jumper is looking better from mid-range, still looking to get the 3 ball back in his game. I’m happy to see him playing and his shot is looking much better. He is playing solid D and is contributing well to the Magic. I am still pulling for him and think he will turn it around and become a very good player in the league.

What are your thoughts on Fultz? What do you expect from him in the future? Is there any chance he becomes an all-star level player as was anticipated coming out of Washington?

I never thought he would be an all-star.

Ive only watched him once this game and on that occasion his shot was off. Air balled one, barely touched the rim on another, then sprayed them left and right on future shots.

Didn’t look very confident on the floor, but he is still young. Orlando have done well by grooming him slowly behind a good vet in DJ Augustin.

I hope he continues to do well and management and coach don’t chuck him in the deep end or expect big things from him.

He’s going to have a better career than Lonzo Ball and for what it’s worth, I think he was an acceptable pick. Tatum is looking like the guy that will play the most all star games and overall be considered the best player, but Fultz will be a starter for years and even all star level player for part of his career. He has elite skills in getting to the rim and is solid all round. The Magic made a nice move, but Philly also did well to identify they had to make a call on Simmons as the PG. They did, everyone moved on. It’s just all in bigger focus cos Fultz went 1, but it was not a memorable draft and monumental miss. These things happen.

His defense has stood out to me. He’s a big and quick guard and can defend both backcourt positions.

His shot from beyond 18 feet needs a lot of work (form, release speed, versatility, accuracy) but they’ve been rightfully ramping up his minutes. He’s earned it. He has good / very good burst getting to the rim. It’s not realistic though to expect his outside shot to improve much this year. Needs another strict offseason of work….. but he’ll be in a contract year which is good for him & Orlando.

If he can figure out his outside shot in the next 2 years (32-35% from three on ~4 attempts per game) he could put up Eric Bledsoe type numbers for a 4-5 year stretch (16/5/5) but with better overall playmaking.
