ChoppyParticipantJust came up in my newsfeed on Facebook 10 mins ago. He signed under the Next Stars program the NBL is running.

ChoppyParticipantI know we’re not talking about a large sample size here, but for the last two young players to come over, (Ferguson and Bowen) they averaged around 6-7pts. I wouldn’t expect much different for Ball. Will be interesting to see who will have the better season, LaMelo or R.J Hampton?

Ahkasi ClayParticipantRoyce White signed with big 3, at the end of it all, he will have a better NBA career than this little Ball.

KIP BallerParticipantI was convinced he was going to be in the Big 3. I can see it now….. Lavar, Gelo, and Melo would be unstoppable LOL.

The GoatParticipantDo the Hawks still play at the Snake Pit? I used to love playing there.
Melo will love the Gong. He will get bashed at Shellharbour Workies for giving someone lip within the first 2 weeks.

ChoppyParticipantNo idea if they still play there. I assume they do. I don’t live anywhere near the Gong so not familiar with the place. Although Shellharbour Workies sounds like my kind of pub!

ThenilonatorParticipantThis is the best comment I’ve seen here in a long time! They don’t play at the snake pit any more, moved across town to the win entertainment centre (known now as the sand pit).
Shelley workers is definitely still going and would absolutely wear one to the nose if he gave anyone lip!

morestealsthanscoresParticipantWill be interesting to see what Lavar decides to do. If he stays in LA, then this is a great move for Melo – having his dad literally as far away as possible and having to make it on his own in a pro league. And if he does succeed where Ferguson and Bowen failed, he could be a lottery pick for it. We’ll see!

ChoppyParticipantI’m not sure I’d say Ferguson and Bowen failed. By what metric do you determine failure? They were two young rookies flown half way around the world and playing in a league full of grown men and established vets. They had to earn every minute and learnt a lot about playing professionally. Never mind the ppg, I think the both of them succeeded.

Andrew1984ParticipantI’m disappointed, I was really hoping he’d find a way to sneak into college basketball this year, would’ve been riveting.

TarHeelRavenParticipantOver/under one week before Lavar is complaining about Lamelo’s playing time and yelling at the coach.
