halfdecayedParticipantNot surprised by any of those moves got negged hard forKaehi comments but that was clearly his choice from the beginning. Also kawhis camp values Lakers FO loyalty over clips and raps believe it kr not bc of Derozan and Griffin situation..

ChoppyParticipantThey’ll trade whoever, whenever, as long as your name isn’t LeBron…

doubledribblerParticipantThey took care of Kobe and every player saw it. That’s why it was important for them to pay him until he retired. Look at their long line of coaches that were former Lakers. Jeannie still consults with Phil. Vogel was previously a Lakers assistant, they were aiming for Lue. Jerry West was a GM. Being a Laker for a year or two and not doing anything (Lonzo, Ingram, Hart) probably doesn’t hold much weight. Even if this whole experiment fails, you can at least say the Lakers went big. We got Charlotte out here with no talent, a lone all star willing to take less money and one of the franchises greatest players and that team decides to lowball him.

ChoppyParticipantLet me rephrase. Lakers will trade anyone not named Kobe or LeBron. How is that loyalty? I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, all teams do it. But somehow perpetuating the myth that the Lakers are “more loyal” than other teams because of Kobe and LeBron? Come on…

ghettosermonParticipantHow exactly are the Nets going to sign Deandre Jordan? It’s surprising that he would be willing to take the Vets minimum. If it means they have to move Dinwiddie and Joe Harris to clear cap I don’t like the move considering Jordan’s similarities to Allen, but at the end of the day if Jordan is the reason KD is coming than you have to make the move. I’m interested to see how they fit him in considering they don’t have money beyond the minimum since they are giving Temple the 2 year 10 mil contract.

publius2481ParticipantI am guessing the Irving signing will be a sign and trade with Boston and Charlotte. This will allow Boston to sign Walker while still operating as an over the cap team (giving them the full MLE and the biannual exemption instead of the room exemption), Charlotte gets Rozier in sign and trade and probably a small sweetener (ie a second round pick from either Boston or Brooklyn), and Brooklyn will be able to sign KD and Jordan using cap space. My guess is Harris and Dinwidde are spun to a 4th team which will send assets to Brooklyn.

doubledribblerParticipantThe word has been out that he was planning on going to LA while he was still with the Spurs. He’s from the area and has wanted to go back and he gets to go there with talent in place. 95% sure he was probably also a Laker fan growing up. It would probably be a dream come true. Lakers front office is loyal, even if it is to a fault though…
On a sidenote, those future Pelicans picks are going to be trash unless they manage to find some late round steals.

xJumpManxParticipantYea why would you want to go to the finals 4 times in a row. I dont hate Toronto not sure were the hate is coming from. I feel bad for your team migth as well start rebuilding. It sucks when your team does eveything it can for a player but you still lose them.

xJumpManxParticipantI doubt either of us live in the downtown of either city. I assume you live in the nicer suburbs like I do outside of Cleveland. I could sit here and mock you for living in Canada but this is about sports. You traded away your best player for a one year rental and he is leaving for another team it sucks. Your next best player is choke artist(lowry) saw him chose and disapear every year we knocked Toronto out of the playoffs.

OhCanada-ParticipantI wish I lived in a nice suburb but unfortunately I dont have that kind of money. Dont live in housing or anything but I got my little apartment which is fine. Anyways Im sorry if I offended you, I was just playing around really. Just a bit of trash talk. I dont like Cleveland at all though to be honest and you know exactly why.
But guess what.
Kawhi’s not leaving. Sooner or later. Your all just gonna have to deal with it.

mrwehbeParticipantI just can’t understand why people trolling the knicks without knowing the real facts ! I mean yes the nets got irving durant and jordan on paper brooklyn are an unstoppable force but in readevelthey signed an aging super star with a career ending injury to a max contract for 5 years that could lead to major consequences (financial flexibility team chemistry …) if durant didn’t recover at least 80%!Adding to that they were forced to sign his best friend which is in the declining phase of his career and could possibly alter the development of their young star in jarrett alleyfinally They swapped a young homegrown all start in russel with a more seasoned all star that had several issues with his former employer and teammates !As for the knicks IMO durant injury altered their hole ppla but if they somehow end up with russell randle and other complimentary pieces i would call them winners !0-

mrwehbeParticipantThe Knicks and owner Jim Dolan were not prepared to offer Kevin Durant a full max contract due to concerns over his recovery from the Achilles injury, league sources tell me and
. Knicks officials are in Los Angeles tonight, meeting with free agents such as Julius Randle.
