halfdecayedParticipantI found this on lakers reddit, reported by RDAmbition. The guy has broken down a couple of legit news before the media, PG staying in OKC, Butler wanting out of Minny, Zubac trade, Lakers interest in Bob Myers. His sources are verified by mods too, not sure what that means.
I will say this though, this could legit be true, but the front office of the Lakers is so clueless anyway that it could mean nothing. It is true that Lebron was in Philly to recruit Kawhi last night and they met. I know alot of you guys see him going to the Clippers, but let’s be real, they’ll always be the little brother to the Lakers.
I do think the rumors of Kawhi not wanting to play with Bron are bull**** though. You can check the sources check out and see if they are legit. It would be funny still that a front office this messy could land Kawhi and Lebron lol

halfdecayedParticipantalso there is a protest today about to take place to express the displeasure against the front office. Front office could plant this story to diffuse the tension lmao, that would be clever of them though, not sure they could figure this out by themselves.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantBut if you are right, the Lakers also end up with Kyrie the contender killer.
You’ll need to get Mbenga to troll Kyrie about ring counts to make that team work.

HobbyOGParticipantHim going to the Lakers just makes sense..he wants to play in LA, h going to the Clippers he’ll get too much media attention something he doesnt’ like. Go to the Lakers camera all on Brons sack..

halfdecayedParticipantif he wants to avoid the attention while expanding his brand, that’s the perfect move. He gets the keys to the franchise in a couple of years too.

HitsterParticipantGood point by Half Decayed that Kawhi can effectively play running mate to LBJ for a year or two before becoming the man.
The pressure is on the Lakers to land a major FA as LBJ turns 35 this year and his peak years must be starting to near their end so his championship window could only be another year or two.

The GoatParticipantRight now for the first time in many years I’m actually enjoying the playoffs – three game 7s, the Bucks thru and Warriors Rockets game 6. We have a lot of time to talk shit about free agency later and moving forward we probably will in seasons ahead, with free agency threads starting during the regular season in years when teams are so stacked we are waiting for finals. This year though.. man, actually get to watch some competitive ball! I don’t want to get in the headspace of thinking where Kawhi is going. He’s not going to tell anyone! Let’s just watch him carve out some of the best playoff ball you’ll ever see. That’s my party pooper answer. My actual thoughts on Kawhi are that he 100% leaves if the Raptors win the championship or if they don’t get past the Bucks. I think he stays if they reach the finals and lose tho. I think if he feels they can win but just missed out, i think he’ll stay another 1-2 years. All the talk is SoCal so probably Lakers or Clippers, but if he is close friends with any other stars, I think he’d consider their teams (but I don’t know who he is friends with). He is tight with Lebron tho which is why the Lakers would have to be favourites. But, back to the party pooper answer – who cares right now?! Just enjoy watching this hooper

OhCanada-ParticipantRaptors just cant escape Lebron’s wrath. I believe this, because its the worst scenerio possible. Other than GSW.

MopgrassParticipantLeonard and Ingram are a bit redundant, but in the best possible way. Leonard would be the right guy to teach Ingram.

piratejpParticipantIngram would be pretty unlikely to re-sign in that scenario. Most likely he gets traded at some point if Leonard comes to town.
